Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil is on of my favorite 2D platformers/games of all time! The story, level design, unique worlds and so much more make it a fantastic gem of a game!

Played Sly 2 on Vita and sure is amazing, Its really more like an adventure, funny, lots of cool mechanics like thieving from the back pockets which is cool and really satisfying little detail. Also great to see iNinja here :)

I use to have Klonoa 2 loved it! Another platformer I love even to this day that nobody mentions is Malice!

Originally in the games development Gwen Stephanie was suppose to voice Malice but backed out at the last minute because she couldn't get paid as much as she wanted so they had to hire another voice actress. It's not the best 3d platformer but it's not bad at all. It didn't have a billion dollar budget but it was to me at least a great game

I think it will come back this year with all the indideveloppers doing 2d platformers because they grew up with those games i think the people who grew up with 3d platformers are around the age to make games now surely 3d games are harder to make, so it might take some years till they master it, but i think there is a good chance we will be overflown with 3d platformers within 2 to 5 years indie and triple a

The PS2 really has some great platformers and many of my favorites got listed here in this vid along with some I have yet to play and didn't know about. There are also so many untraditional platformers on the PS2 as well, like the well-known ICO. The first one I played was Rayman Revolution, which I believe was a launch game.

I've always enjoyed Malice. It's definitely not the best platformer on the system but it's not bad at all. 😁 It has neat element where when you die it's not immediately game over but instead you go to a purgatory like state and have to do certain tasks and then the reaper will bring you back to life. When it was first in production Gwen Stefani was rumored to do the voice of Malice but obviously that didn't happen.

I love the game on PS2, but the hardware is getting harder to find in good working condition. I want to buy a PS2 from eBay, but that last two times I bought one they ended up being broken even though, the seller said good working condition. Like the PS2 phat I bought had a door hinge broken, and the PS2 slim I bought had the ribbon coming so far up it put a circle scratch into all our games. I haven't had a PS2 since 2019 because of it, but I miss owning the PS2 over every other console. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get a really great working PS2 on eBay without it being messed up? I want one so bad, but I might just have to get a PS3 and play all the PS2 collection games so I can play Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and Ratchet and Clank. Those are my favorite PS2 games of all time. I would rather have a PS2 to play them on, but I might have to go the PS3 route. Anyone have suggestions on which is the best way to get them?

Hey! Have you heard/thought of Lukie Games? My Aunt has been using them for years for my cousin who often asks for retro games for birthdays and Christmas, and unfortunately, they’re more expensive, but it includes a year warranty and it has several recent 5 star reviews. Just something to think about. I’m hoping to order one from them in a week or so. Good luck :)

Sly 2 has always been my favorite of the Sly series, Jak and Daxter was pretty good and Ratchet and Clank 3 has been really good so far.

I just wanted to let people know that Psychonauts is one of my favorite games, but people don't play it because they like the platforming. The platforming is absolutely atrocious. In fact, the gameplay as a whole really is terrible. The very popular opinion is that Pyschonauts is a fantastic game because of its story and humor.
