I love you, Glove and Boots ! And you are right - zero is the best number, not because just of math, but for economics. It was the aztecs that created the concept of zero - the absence of value. Also, zero is part-and-parcel of any computer. Zeroes and Ones make up literally everything these days. Unless you are thinking of pure analog - vinyl records, film, ink-and-paper or any tangible commodity, zeroes and ones are it, guys. Good blog. I expect to see this on science and mathematics blogs.
