I know what you mean, it's the same with truckspotting, which i used to do, did miss alot of shots when you weren't ready for the truck to come, or you diden't see it in time. I remember wanting to photograph one particular Austrian companys fleet of trucks, and it probably took around 13-14 attempts before i got it, but finally i did 👍

Yeah, I live near the tracks. Used to railfan them with a crappy camera when I was younger.
