I lived in Branson through the '90's. Raised my kids there. BOY has it changed!! Lived around Table Rock Lake off and on from the mid '70's until the move to Branson. My kids, now adults, HATE the Landing and the Titanic because they tore down some of their favorite places to build them. Also a lot of us called Silver Dollar City "Steal Your Dollar City". At one time it was cheaper to go to Disneyland.

If you're going to try only one Mountain Coaster make it Runaway at night.... definitely the most thrilling. Copperhead is also fun and the smoothest ride by far

I just got back yesterday from a vacation in Branson. We went to the Titanic museum, and Ripley's just to throw a couple names out. The Ripley's museum was pretty boring, but the Titanic museum was neat. I had to take my hand out of the ice water after about 30 seconds. I've never felt anything so cold in my life. Even ice cubes are warmer than that water. There's a lot of good shopping in town, but it can get expensive. We actually came home with a woolly mammoth tusk fossil. I also came home with a Mars rock, and a meteorite. Being an astronomy nut, it was well worth the trip. The only thing we missed out on was the Promised Land Zoo out at Eagle Rock. But that was only because it was closed for a private event.

Live in Nixa and just got back from Silver Dollar City about 20 minutes ago. Went into the Marvel Cave for the first time ever! Not a good time for someone afraid of heights! Was beautiful though! Nice to have something like Branson about 35 minutes away!

It IS nice! Marvel Cave is one of my favorites too. I was mind boggled when I went down there. I wondered how on EARTH did I not know a cave that huge was underneath!!! 😱

We used to live in Arkansas and it was just a "hop, skip and a jump". Now that we live in Louisiana it seems to take FOR-EVER to get there, but it's worth the drive!!

SDC is expensive but considering you can get an entire day for around $70 when most other things will cost 30-50 for a few hours enjoyment at best.... it's actually the best deal in town. WW for about $50 is next best deal. Don't waste your money at Fritz
