Jaycation explores what the San Diego Locals call "OB" or Ocean Beach. Famous for it's bohemian vibes and hippy and weird culture, OB is one of the most unique beach towns in all of Southern California. With plenty to do there are so many restaurants, bars, breweries, antique shops, farmers markets and more!
Just down the street is the beautiful stretch of Sunset Cliffs! Check out that video after this one! We also dine at South Beach Bar and Grill and try their AMAZING Happy Hour and one of San Diego's BEST FISH TACOS! We try the Baja Taco and Mahi Taco.
Later we skate through the neighborhoods and explore the great dive spots around town like Hodad's, OB Noodle Bar and Kilowatt Brewing! We also head to the OB Dog Park and check out the famous Ocean Beach Pier.

I love Ocean Beach and always will. I moved there in the 70s and got married on Coronado Island to a handsome sailor. Today I found out that he died from cancer. It left a hole in my soul. We had so much fun around Ocean Beach and San Diego. I lived on Long Branch Ave. He drove a fast car and of course I feel for the twinkle in his eyes. We moved from San Diego to Charleston South Carolina. We got divorced but remained friends. I am just really sad.... but I will always love OB and the memories I have.

I was born and raised in Ocean Beach! The mural that you saw with Jimmy Hendrix, my brother’s friend painted that😁 The other person on the mural is Johnny Cash. Fun fact: the random small colorful house that you rode by is called The Scooby Doo house😁 Great video, keep up the great content!!

I lived in OB from '96 - '10 / Some of my best memories are from that place, it's a trip to see how much it's changed (I worked at the AutoZone on Bacon St. for a while there - no one liked 'Corporate America' LOL) Glad to see good 'ol OB being promoted, surfing the Jetty was my fondest memory..

Visited here a little while ago, actually! It was a really weird but still awesome place to check out and explore. Was there in November and it was so damn busy with so much going on. Even had breakfast at Breakfast Republic!

Kilowatt Brewing was once a place for a Yelp Brewventure in Oceanside. Just curious - which pier is longer OB or Oceanside?

Nice! Do you stop into Kilowatt every now and then in O Side? OB Pier is the longest but Oceanside Pier is the longest wooden pier in the west coast.

OB fam doesn't like the target! ~ It sucks because the BEST Antique store was there. It was massive and so amazing... You have great videos! At South Beach, it's cool to see they got the "touch-less" menus! I only order two things there though. Fried clam strips and battered baja fish tacos. As you've mentioned, it's super delicious and filling. *Lighthouse* *icecream* surely is a local favorite! I've been going since 2003! If you like coffee ~ OB Beans is pretty good and a chill spot! Hi! So if you're looking to stay by the beach i would suggest a hotel in the north county like in encinitas near the train station so u can use the coaster to get around! U can also check out mission bay hotels as it is closer to main parts of SD. If you're looking for a downtown setting, staying around that area is nice too with plenty of hotels. Paradise Point is a nice resort. Enjoy!

I went to South Beach Bar & Grill today. Had the Baja and Mahi Mahi tacos as well. They weren't very good. The fish was cold as well as the tortilla. The tortilla wasn't heated up very much either the way it should've been. I'd have to say it was a bad experience and I won't be going back there ever again
