Lived in every big city in Texas. SA is by far the best of so many worlds, though cities like Dallas, Ft Worth, austin and Houston are killer in their own ways. God bless this state!

One of the few cities west of the mississippi you can park the car and walk the downtown. If not downtown, take the bus. Locals, do it one time. Park at the mall if u live too far out. Cuz traffic is ghastly. You know your town better, if u do. On southside, end of hotwells, ruins of a hotel, murals, hot springs. Roosevelt stayed there. Most don't know it's there.

I Love San Antonio. .....San Antonio should deserve to be listed as Best places to Live of the top10. The living is affordable than Austin. Although Austin is it's next door neighbor just half an hour north.

Agreed ! I think San Antonio is a really affordable & great city to live in. I love Austin too, but it is definitely more expensive! Not as bad as California though.
