I think, Hollywood movies Rambo First Blood Part 2 and another Arnold Szwarznegar featuring Predtor was shooted somewhere in the National Park only. So beautiful.

I am making my first visit to Vietnam in February -- will be there for two weeks, both arriving and departing via Hanoi. Since booking my flight, I learned that my stay will be during the Tet celebration. This raises the question of what places and activities (esp. in the north) will be feasible and/or advisable during this time (Feb 5 to 19). With regard to Cat Ba Nat'l Park -- or other such places, such as Sapa, Hoi An, Ninh Binh, etc. ...any specific advice in this regard?

Hi! Thanks for watching! Check online the activities/tours you want to make during Tet, since many places might close or have some special event. We don't know for sure. Regarding the places you said, they are all amazing and we would skip any! Have a look at our Vietnam series to see more detailed info. Maybe it helps you decided what to do most or what to skip. I would recommend the Ha Giàng Motorbike Loop too!
