Top Thrill 2 is closed|Spending Mothers Day at Cedar Point|Riding with Not your Normal Guy

I have rode TT2 ten times and 8 of them the ride has broken down and required maintenance to be dispatched. Then Friday night around 7pm something actually broke of the ride and hit the protective cover on the Q.

Wow, thanks for the info! You must've gotten the all season FL. I got one ride in on opening day in less than an hr of it opening.

@@TheJustinRothShow my wife and I did get the all season. It was our first summer since the kids moved out of the house and we have a little extra money and that’s how we celebrated ha ha

Just another ordinary day at Cedar Point. During my 5 days there last year, Valravn & Gemini were the saving graces. They were always open, and Gemini was the only line under an hour. Even Magnum & Corkscrew were over an hour, when open. Maverick & SV rarely operated. I was hoping the park would turn it around this year, but it's not looking good.

As far as downtime goes it usually gets better going into June. Maverick seems to be pretty reliable this year but seems to have a constant 1-1.5hr wait unless you can hit it first thing in the morning. SV does seem to be down a lot with a pretty consistent 2.5-3hr wait and you can always count on Gemini for a short wait and usually Gatekeeper is under 30 mins. At least this is what I've noticed on weekends, I haven't made it there on a weekday yet but I hear wait times are low.

@@TheJustinRothShow Weekdays in July are even worse than weekends. I've had by far the shortest lines on my Saturdays. July has been good for combining it with other places, but I won't do that again. Weekdays in late May-early June or late August are probably much better.

You had one of my days there two years ago. The only rides working towards sunset were raptor, rougarou, blue streak, and that mine train ride and magnum. All the others went down in a thirty minute window of time. Even Gemini had closed and dragster was closed the entire season of course

Raptor seems to be one of the most reliable rides in the park, very rarely do I ever see it not running.

What happened to Top Thrill 2 can be summed up in one word. ZAMPERLA!! Cedar Fair should have had Shaken Hands to patch up their partnership with Intamin. Cedar Fair chose Cheap and Inexperienced over Experienced!! Oh Well, Cedar Fair, You got What You Paid For!!

That's dumb that they closed Top Thrill 2. Just had to ride Millennium Force a lot of times.

I don't think they had a choice, it had to close to make repairs and modifications necessary to get it running right again. Hopefully it will open in time for Coastermania but it's not looking promising.

Awesome, I hope you have a great time at the point! It would be great if TT2 is open by then but I'm not gonna hold my breath. June 7th is coastermania and I'm really hoping it opens by then.

I don't think so, probably will be down for a couple weeks, could even be a couple months but it will reopen eventually.
