I think because of the activity and speculation they had to release something to put it out there it won’t be open for CoasterMania. Maybe they were hopeful it would be ready for CoasterMania.

Just because you see the trains cycling, that does NOT mean that it's "testing", implying that the ride is anywhere near getting close to reopening. Seeing the trains cycling like that could mean any kinds of things. We just don't know.

Cedar point ended up effectively working with the Intamin they were trying to stay away from. I think Zamperla is the manufacturer for the wonderland project. They gave a company other than Intamin a multi launch project , when that’s the model They’ve perfected ?

Cedar point provided an update today they said it's still closed and that Zamperla manufacturer is still working on the trains and that they hope to provide us with an update soon !!!! I'm really hoping that Top Thrill 2 reopens in Late June or July because I'm going back up to Cedar point on July 11th and id love to be able to ride on TT2 so I hope and pray that Top Thrill 2 is reopened by then if not I'll be super disappointed!!! I hope that TT2 reopens soon !!!

Yes I saw that statement as well and I think it aligns with this information. Hopefully it opens in time before your visit!

I saw this coming when it was officially announced that Zamperla will be Reimaging Top Thrill Dragster. What a FREAKIN JOKE!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️

Great job Cedar Point, you failed again. CP chose the cheap route an this is what happens. serves them right. Zamperla is not experienced enough for this project.

THANK YOU!! @MrKsanders1985!! I said the exact same thing when Cedar Point announced that Zamperla will be reimaging Top Thrill Dragster. Zamperla has never built a Hyper, Giga, and Definitely not a Strata Rollercoaster. Their tallest Rollercoaster is something like 130ft tall, with a Train Max Speed of 57mph. Cedar Fair chose Cheap and Inexperienced over Experienced. Oh Well!! Cedar Fair got What They Paid For!!!!

Intamin must have their feet up, bev in hand laughing their bums off at the fact that all cp and Zamperla have to do is look at the wheel assemblies on the trains they took off it when it was top thrill dragster and modify that design. The work has been done for them. Those trains went equally fast on the same track. The amount of installs Zamperla will lose over this with cf and six flags merging is going to be staggering.

Well Intamin’s Top Thrill wasn’t without its issues, and if they’re laughing, that’s quite an expensive laugh what with them having lost a ton of business to Cedar Fair. This ride just opened, and it’s the first large Zamperla coaster. Maybe it’s important to just give it time

@@ThousanWhite remember cedar fair doesn't buy tried and true models of coasters. They make every company step up their game and build things never seem before. The debacle with the accident was 100% cedar point not maintaining the ride. And kingda ka still lives on.
