On my visit to Cedar Point in 2015, TTD was up and down all day and down every time we walked past. At the end of the day on our final walk past the queue was opened, immediately got in line and got in one ride. Not that it really mattered as there are so many great coaster in the park, but it was icing on the cake.

I have not been a fan of Cedar Fair since 2007 when they abruptly closed Geauga Lake and left the park to rot. That was such an awesome park until Six Flags got their hands on it. When Cedar Fair took it after Six Flags sold it, they didn't do anything for it but run it into the ground.

I saw one guy that looked like he was removing a seat on the silver train Thursday. Probably same guy. I was surprised to see only one guy working on it. All 3 trains were parked on the infield track. It waa difficult to get a good look because the grandstands are blocked off.

Cedar Point knows this extended downtime has to be worth the wait, so hopefully they can be more open about the closure once the ride reopens

Super grateful for his knowledge and kindness!! He’s super cool, very nice, and of course one of the most knowledgable people when it comes to the analysis questions. Very grateful he helped me there. Hate asking him to make videos for us but I do like hearing his input. I’ll try keeping my questions to him down to a minimum lol, but hopefully we can collab again in the future on some big projects. I want to do documentary style things, and having ryan explain some of the mechanical parts would be incredible. So many ideas lol

Are the new wheels manufactured yet? If so, are they in the park? I ask because, as you mentioned, that image of the wheels looks like a 3d model. Just trying to speculate when the ride will reopen because I am super eager to ride it.

Not sure on reopening, that was a mockup 3d of the new ones that are on the silver train. Looks like the assemblies are installed now

I can see why they had to add those support pieces to the wheel assemblies ! That skinny vertical part going down to the side wheel assembly does not look very strong…..probably why the trains had shaking in parts of the ride.

Great update! I hate to be a pessimist but I doubt it will reopen by the time the "free fast lane" passes given during Coastermania expire (9/2) but Im optimistic for Halloweekends!

Is the rummors true that TT2 isnt going to reopen until 2027 ? I hope thats not true. Thats way to long ! Id be disappointed even more if thats the case !!!! I wish Cedar point would give another update on TT2

I have zero sympathy for Cedar Fair. They went with a crap company at a lowball bid. They get what they paid for. In the original, it was like having Elvis at the Vegas International. CF sold their soul with this awful gimmicked coaster by Zamperla.

And intamin was better? $15 million in repairs and a $90 million lawsuit. Looks like thanks to intamin Cedar Point paid out the ass and got no ROI.
