@@evenr1.812 it’s definitely dark, and the author does something to the reader that I have not yet experienced. Plan on finishing the trilogy though, it really pulls together so amazingly at the end. I loved that trilogy

One of my favourite series

I agree with you - the Prince of Thorns trilogy is amazing. There are hints in the first of the changes that come later. I don't want to say to much about Georg, but he's a superb character, and IMO, unfairly maligned. For a trilogy that has a similar feel to Prince of Thorns, try The Left Hand of God. A young protagonist, and it is heavily grimdark. It's a lesser-known, less-well-liked one, but i found it awesome.

@@drakhir that trilogy really hit me hard when I finished it. I loved jorg the whole way through. Even though he’s hated for a lot of reasons. Lawrence is a MASTERMIND and incredible writer

Mark lawrence is absolutely exceptional. Both of the series ive read of his are awesome.

@@sebastienschubert2991 he is on a whole different level. However, I don’t think he’s for everyone. He does get a lot of hate within book-com.

Great selection! I really need to get reading The Blacktongue Thief. The Daughters' War is available. It's a prequel to Blacktongue Thief.

@@craxanshards3139 it really is great. The mood, the era. It really reminds me of Berzerk a lot in a way.

Why is everything so divided? It’s bad enough that I have to look at suspense, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy etc. Now they are separated into sections. I just want to find an interesting book to read. Do most people want to read stories that are similar in style to what they have already read?
@BeginnerMindsetАй бұрын
@@michaelme1548 I think the categories help people find books that they are interested in reading. For example, I like extreme horror/ disturbing genre, but will give a warning to anyone who doesn’t enjoy or can’t handle that kind of thing. Great question though-“Do most people want stories that are similar to what they have already read?” I don’t have an answer to that but it’s a really thought provoking question

@@BeginnerMindset I think I’m pretty picky. It’s hard for me to find books that grab me but I have no genre preferences. I just have to find it interesting.
