After viewing this I’m glad I ordered the Morelia 2. When I think of leather I think of a nice cushioned cloud on my foot.

At the moment both the morelia 2 MIJ and Horenso are the two boots I constantly rotate but if I have to choose I just slightly prefer the Morelia 2 mainly because i do love something padded and it’s a boot that I’ve been very familiar with. That’s not to say the Horenso is some slouch,it has its own charm and consumers do not have a bad choice choosing one over the other.
@derbyyank1311 ай бұрын
Good comparison review. Based on the insole alone, you need a further half size down in the Horenso, so if you get the Yatagarashu a half size down from the Horenso. Also, the Yatagarashu makes better use of the KaRVO midsole in the boot. Should also point out that all Adler models are handmade in Japan.

I think it comes down to personal preference. The leather on the morelias feels more plush while on the horenso/yata is thinner. What edges it for me is the karvo insert on the alders. It adds the responsiveness the morelias are missing.
@soulstart8911 ай бұрын
I agree. I loved the Morelia but the kervo insert made them more responsive. Same reason I preferred the wdjcs ds light xfly mij over the morelias.

It looks like the soleplate on the Adler is already separating from the toe. Design flaw?
@upper90football_11 ай бұрын
Might be a trick of the lighting or discoloration of the soleplate edge. The upper is still very much in tact with the upper 👍

I want to point out that only MIJ has full K-leather. Elites only have K-leather on forefoot, faux-leather on midfoot.

It looks like the synthetic material begins just around the ankle and heel area. Just a rough estimation but I'd say it's about 80% leather to 20% synthetic. ⚽

i have the adler yatagarashu and morelia 2 Japan. For me the morelia 2 fits better out of the box but after breaking in, the yata just fit enormously better for me as i have enormously wide feet and the Morelia 2 is just not gonna stretch enough.

@@upper90football_ indeed this boutique brand is very unique. However u may not like the yata as much as the Horenso as the yata has a shank in the outsole and it is way less flexible than the horenso

Did you go a full or half size down on the yata? I also have very wide feet and tried the Morelia but the sole plate was way too narrow for me. Really wanna get the Yata but unsure if I should go half or full size down

I have mij morelia 4's non betas and used them twice on AG. Leather has peeled off after first use, and the tip is damaged on my right foot(2nd use). I'm not happy with the quality I must say, i believe it's not worth paying the extra tag for MIJ, i will try Adler or Asics next, mizuno didn't really impress me, maybe the Alphas are a better package.

Adler is my preference. Not sure why but the fit feels like a modern boot. So snug and no inside foot slippage. The studs feel a bit more stable as well. The Morelia studs for some reason feel not so spread apart so when I make quick turns, I feel less support than the Adler. But the alphas, those are legit!!!

I agree about the Morelia stud placement - in certain surfaces it feels a bit wobbly… still an amazing boot but I’ve never been a great fan of the soleplate and studs.

What size are you in Mizuno? I'm 11.5 in most US shoes, 11 in Mizuno, which, I think, makes me a 10.5 in Adler but would like to confirm. Unfortunately a 10.5 isn't a size they offer yet though.

Kinda feels like the Mizuno is on a disadvantage here in the review. The Japan version has rivets for durability, as well as a 24 hour lasting, making the fit better. Then again, you are comparing it to the Horenso, Adler's second best boot. Cheers for the Horenso though. I love how it looks and I pre-ordered one last December.
@wyw909011 ай бұрын
Idk if you can put Horenso as 2nd best Adler boots. IMO they offer different fit and feel. I feel like MIJ needs to be compared with Adler models. Maybe Jarumakan can be compared to morelia 2 elites.
@64kingarthur11 ай бұрын
@@wyw9090 in my opinion, it kinda lacks what makes a speed boot a speed boot. Atleast the basis that would tick 2 out of 4 in my criteria. And those criteria would be lightweight, atleast below 8 Oz in weight, a thin, simple upper, a stiff soleplate in the mid foot, and aggressive studs. It lacks the mid foot shaft that the Yatagarashu have and the studs are not aggressive enough. The one that can be put in the same sentence as the Morelia 2 is the Yatagarashu. Both are good mind you, but what the Yatagarashu offers and for the price, I do think it's much better than the Morelia 2 MIJ. The only advantage the Morelia 2 has is having an arguably better grip thanks to it's stud placement and being lighter. But on other specs, the Yatagarashu in my opinion is much better. Better durability, slightly better leather, and a more responsive midsole because of the KaRVO as well as the mid foot shaft on the boot.
