Great Stuff! I've noticed in one of my recent projects that x-particles doesn't like the vertex tags on alembic caches, and doesn't recognise them. Does anyone know a workaround for that please? Thanks!

Have you figured this out yet? I had the same problem

love this breakdown. tell me, what is the main place you would go to tone down the energy of the birth of the particles off of an object's surface? i have the same settings in a simple scene but don't have the same model as yours and i imagine scene scale has something to do with it as well. My particles explode off the surface even with zero speed on emission. Perhaps the particles are too packed together for the scale of the model in the scene? what would you tweak?

Hey!, I had the same issue. Make sure to put the emission speed all the way down to zero in the xpEmitter and also in your groups, as the speed will be driven by the gravity. Also uncheck Velocity Correction, under nxFluids/Object. You can experiment later on, increasing the particle speed of group 2 a bit. At least this worked for me :)

thanks for piping in here@@Shorshx. on further exploration it seems to be directly related to the radius of the particle which is proportional to the scale of the scene and has to be tweaked if the scene scale is smaller.

@@congorod YES! This is the correct answer, I have solved it

Another answer. The scale of the model is important. If the object is too small and it generates 100,000 particles, the pressure between the particles is too high and it explodes. We decrease the number of particles or we increase the size of the model or, in nxFluid, we activate and we increase as much as necessary . This notion of density is well explained in the INSYDIUM documentation.

What about activacting a modifier?

When will there be an independent version that does not depend on C4D, like embergen?
