@@HardRoutine_TOTW I’m living near Cowbridge now. We moved last June but I’m working in London Tuesday to Friday. Give me a shout next time you’re in the hills and I’ll see if I’m free for an amble.

Hey mate, what's your training regime for these events?
@HardRoutine_TOTW10 ай бұрын
Hi buddy, in the run up to a loadbearing event I go to nearby Box Hill (near London) which has an 8 mile loop with good elevation and I start smashing that with a 35lbs pack. Once a weekend, then in the weekend before the event double loop (16 miles). In addition I run two to three times a week and go to the gym once or twice and do at least one outdoor bootcamp.

Just starting the journey after massive weight gain. As an ex postie I'm determined to shred the excess.

Never had a home delivery, never had a McD’s(hard to believe, I know) apart from driving to my nearest Tesco, once a week(9miles one way) if I need anything, it’s a 3 mile return walk to Asda, I cycle a minimum of 100 miles a month and generally get in an average of 57 miles specific walks a month, don’t think I’m doing to bad for a 66 year old fart

Well done buddy. I've ran 44km so far this month aiming for 150

@@HardRoutine_TOTW can’t run to save my life, never have, but I can do distance, all at a plod, walk, cycle or swim, not fast but I can grind on for hours, can do the fan dance distance, have done a good few times,but won’t make the time, I live about 30 minutes drive from P y F, doing the Big Black Mountains Challenge on Saturday for Longtown Mountain Rescue (11/5/24)20k route, taking my nephew, niece and eldest great niece, who will have a face like a ripped dap (South Wales term for a sports shoe) the only time she has seen 5.30 am is when she’s coming home 😂
