I was once told by a vw sales man that vw uses original wiring harness while slavia has a lower brand wiring harness and compenents which may degrade faster than the ones in vw. I am super excited to see what you think about virtus vs slavia as well 😅
@recastlyf002 ай бұрын
I really don’t know about that man, but skoda slavia/kushaq costs 40k to 50k less than the Volkswagen ones, so yeah! Either its cost cutting or just brand pricing 😅
@ullas1thomas2 ай бұрын
I don’t think that would be the case. Sometimes they choose different suppliers, but the standard will be same because end of the day it affects the parent company which is savw and the cost reduction mostly is because of the internal engineering cost. SKODA may not have to budget that much compared to vw.
@ullas1thomas2 ай бұрын
Also, it’s always better for the parent company to source same suppliers for both brands since that will reduce procurement cost when the volume increases.
@ullas1thomas2 ай бұрын
Both the cars come with the same amount of warranty and has gone through same amount of testing. And usually vw sales people does that during pitching and happened to me as well while trying to go for Kushaq instead of Taigun

Been waiting all along to find a proper video on milage of slavia. You did a great job explaining it . Can you also tell what you think is the mileage for automatic car as well ? I mean, true real world one. I am guessing if you use paddles well and upshit early, you may get nearly similar mileage.
@recastlyf002 ай бұрын
Nowadays ATs retain almost similar mileage to MTs. If you download the skoda slavia brochure from Skoda India, the 1.0 MT is showing to be giving a fuel efficiency of 20.32 kmpl and AT 18.73 kmpl. 1.5 AT provides around 19.36 kmpl. Unfortunately I don’t have an AT with me to check this. But I have a friend who owns the 1.5 AT and his average is 12 - 13 kmpl and max he got was 16 kmpl. That has cylinder deactivation tech also. So my guess, 1.0 will retain an average of the same, sometimes 2-3 kmpl less.

The auto start stop function will affect the engine na?
@recastlyf002 ай бұрын
Tbh it’s a both yes and no question brother. Well explained here on this answer : The auto start/stop feature, designed to enhance fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine when the vehicle stops and restarting it when the driver releases the brake, can have some impact on wear and tear, but it’s generally considered minimal with modern technology. Here are some key points to consider: Engine Components: Frequent starting and stopping can lead to increased wear on certain engine components, particularly the starter motor and battery. However, vehicles equipped with auto start/stop systems typically have more robust starters and batteries designed to handle this additional stress. Oil Circulation: When the engine stops, oil circulation ceases, which can lead to temporary wear when the engine restarts. However, modern engines are designed to minimize this impact, and many systems have mechanisms to maintain oil pressure during restarts. Fuel Efficiency: The primary benefit of auto start/stop is improved fuel efficiency, which can offset any potential increase in wear by reducing overall engine run time and emissions. Driving Conditions: The impact of wear and tear can vary based on driving conditions. In heavy stop-and-go traffic, the system may engage more frequently, potentially leading to more wear compared to highway driving. Manufacturer Design: Different manufacturers use varying technologies for their auto start/stop systems. Some may be more robust than others, affecting the overall wear and tear experienced. In conclusion, while there is some additional wear associated with the auto start/stop feature, advancements in automotive technology have made these systems quite reliable, and the benefits in terms of fuel efficiency often outweigh the potential downsides in wear and tear. Regular maintenance and using high-quality parts can further mitigate any concerns. Also this video mentions some more details in general : kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZOqkGSQmdR4nJosi=B8xXbLpPnMaP1_9c

@recastlyf00 thanks for your time and reply.....in my opinion it's better not to use auto start stop function to safe guard the engine and for its longer life.....

I once read all the money you saved in fuel goes at the 8th year when you have to replace the starter motor unit which cost a tonne. So across 10 years, no much change

Bro do you have any rattling issues on the slavia
@recastlyf002 ай бұрын
Bro there are some sounds, but once you tight up the two screws in glove box then it’s fine. Skoda has done so much cost cutting for Slavia and Kushaq. Rapid has much more built quality. Also considering the price we pay, the package is awesome.
