@Philosopher, Hey my brother I love your content keep up the good work! I'm a late-game player about to unlock Doctor Doom. I'm at 10 million CP and a former Alliance leader having just switched alliances to a platinum League. I have to say I have been following your content for a while as well as a lot of other major content providers. Your offensive-defensive suggestions have really improve my game tremendously. Today alone I had 6 defend victories with 3 being cancellations on the SS BB Yo-Yo Crystal Coulson team! I really have to say everything you're explaining is top-notch. I do have one major gripe and it is the fact that everyone seems to save power armor is not good anymore. I have to say power armor as a whole is not a good team but I have been substituting Ultron in place of Iron Man for nearly two years and I have to say I have had some amazing results. The best team that they counter and they could they can punch up against has been in fact Emmarauder's. I don't have the screenshots but I have done 250k punch-ups against that team. They are extremely relevant as they are a trash team and I think that really without Ultron that would not happen. But with Ultron completing that team as a tech team they are unreal. I have to say they are a very technical fight as you have to use the basic from Ultron first against Styfe. The way that fight plays out the Ultron Bots are always behind a little bit so you will use the ultimate from Ultron 2nd. After that it's just figuring out if you can land the defense down or the ability block with rescue against that team if the immunity has worn off by then. Honestly it seems like it's a technical fight because it is and I have a lot of experience with it but it provides tremendous results. I would love to show you a screenshot as I have done huge punch ups and gone and with defense down defense up on the opposite team and disrupted and I have still come out on top. Please reconsider your opinion about them and I suggest you go into a blitz match with that team and go up against 8.4 Emmarauder's and see what I'm talkin about. I smash that like button and I really appreciate all your quality content and extreme knowledge of the game thank you so much!

Thank you for the feedback! Power Armor + Ultron (PATron) was a popular Marauders counter for a long time. Unfortunately it has a RNG component to it. If your opponent clones the wrong character (Rescue, I think) you have a very high chance of losing. In super high level war, you can't afford to make an attack that has a 1 in 8 chance of failing. Because PATron is not reliable, it was dropped for F4 - Tron, which itself has largely been discarded for counters like Shadowland and X-Factor.

@@PhilosopherMSF thank you I agree with that and that would make sense. However I still have over 200k punch-ups against Marauder every time. Like I said a lot of people probably don't understand the mechanics of that team as I have not lost in war match to that in forever. There needs to be considerable debuffs, in combination with a power up in order to lose. This team in my opinion still holds a lot more reliability then is given credit as I can tell by your response back

I have had Mr. Sinister clone Rescue a dozen times it has never really much been an issue. I do agree that I would prefer someone else being cloned other than Ultron and Rescue but the fight still plays out the same

I took her to 12 and immediately started getting wins. I finally attacked one with my axmen and she almost almost destroyed bishop due to her def down and passive. He got saved but time by beast at the right time otherwise they would have picked apart my team starting with her. (I took out Johnny early of course).

You mentioned Korath with mercenaries and his RNG factor. But i didnt hear you mention that its an additional 10% speed bar having another mercenary instead of shuri. That extra 10% can throw people off. It makes them that much daster. Not that it makes them better just something i figured was worth mentioning.

Hey Philosopher, thanks for such a helpful video. One quick question: I invested a lot in Sinister Six with a 6rs G15 5iso Doc Oct and the team gets rolled by newer teams, particularly Shadowlands. Are there any characters that I could swop into the S6 team to give it more of a chance against Shadowlands?

No. It’s a good result if they use up an opponent’s Shadowland.

Regarding the Inhuman/Coul/SS hybrid: wouldn't a sacrifice attack that wastes Coulson and SS Ult make them relatively easy after? Tough single battle but not a lot of sustain. Either way, thanks for all the content! Are we due for a Stonk Watch soon?

It wouldn't make them easy, but it would make them easier. In very high level war, however, we have very little room for error. So if a team guarantees a defense win (even if it's a sac) that is an excellent defense team.

Hey Philosopher. I just unlocked the Doom Kampaign and was wandering if you could do a video about which chars have each pair of nodes the best Value. For Example in the first 3 nodes you need hero Mutant or Inhumans. I thought about going with X-Force because i need them for Dococ later aswell with Crystal instead of Cable and Ms Marvel instead of Sonic. But i could also prepare the Axmen so they are ready to go once i unlock jubilee. I followed your videos for a long time and build up wave 1 and then i focused on the dd3 build up. So most of the teams i haven't even startet. So just a quick guide about what to push for every Cluster of nodes would be dope! Keep the good work up

Alliance we are facing today put Surfer on Emmarauders. Very tough. Doesn't really break any teams up unless using Surfer with Inhumans but he is plug n play. Emma + Surfer is crazy hard.

I want to use Mercs with shuri. But i also have a 7 red star bullseye. Should i leave him in, or swap him out for shuri.

I’d use the Bulleye, shuri makes them more annoying but they are tough either wayv

Any thoughts on switching crystal with invisible woman? I don't have any other F4 built besides her. I'm mid tier. 5.7m cp and on the top end of my alliance in power.

Assuming a comparably powered Red Guardian, would he do well with Mercs? Keeps the initial focus off Merc Lou/Tasky and gives time for Riot guard to get his taunt. plus the heal and ability block. If he Is good, would you be better off putting him next to Riot Guard instead of Taskmaster for deflects (assuming protecting Lou is the higher priority than TM)

He might have use at lower levels where people are using X-Force to counter Mercs, since he screws up that counter. But otherwise I wouldn't use him.

@Philisopher Sorry to say this, but if You have a Strong BH2, These IH, Coulson, SS Team can be beat. Toad go ult and remove buffs, Magneto Blinds. Coulson and company will waste Coulsons big attack. I could only Imagine how strong BH2 You guys have in the top top alliances. Please correct me if I am wrong. I havent tried a Huge SS Yet, so maybe BH2 is not enough at that level.

You’re wrong. I have had repeated defense wins against BH. (Obviously my team is huge, with g15 5RS Surfer.)

I pulled a 7RS Korath a while back so I use him + Ultimus. Do you see this combo in high level war or is it basically shuri/kill show? In my experience kill hasn’t been a big factor on the team as far as damage. His passive is just annoying. I usually save him and shuri for last.

But there was one time I almost lost with a massive 120k shuri. But she has little damage so once I finished off killmonger just payed into her with 4 toons.

I have seen it a bit, but not nearly as much as when people used to run Uncanny + Beast against Mercs. I originally had this version on the list but took it out because the feedback I got from top alliance war captains was that they weren't seeing it much at high levels.

Merc LT and MRG both help adjacent characters, so I put TM in the center with MLT and MRG next to him. So Shuri - MRG - TM - MLT - KM

No one can possibly substitute for Jubilee. You can throw in a character like Storm, but the team will be way, way worse. Jubilee's Passive ties the team together just like Magneto's Passive ties together the Brotherhood.

I have destroyed a 700k Asgardians with a 500k power armor...I just use my hand team has a sacrifice to get rid of hela ultimate and a few do rez to get rid of some specials has well.
