I did an honours in Chem Path before medicine and used to go to class with registrars at Wits NHLS… They get bbbbbusy! 😭😭😭😭 unless they were just walking fast to give a busy illusion. The things they do aren’t that hard though. Most are even automated, you just wanna know how to interpret results

Hi. Thank you so much! This video was really helpful. I would like to know more about pathology. I am interested in the field, however I can't find a lot of information about it. How do you become a clinical pathologist? You get your medical degree, then what what do you do after that?

Which one is most competitive? Radiography or Radiology?
@DrAnn_Healthhub
@DrAnn_Healthhub 2 жыл бұрын
You can't compare the 2 but I'd assume getting into medicine is harder than getting into radiography which has less requirements etc. Radiology is a specialty (you are first a medical doctor then specialise). Radiography is a science using radiation to provide images, you go into it straight. You just take films but don't report unless you specialise in sonography or ultrasound.

Goodday Doc. Please for the Diplomas and higher diplomas is it necessary to write primaries? Eg. I want to do a higher diploma in Surgery from the College of Surgey. Do I need primaries? I f I need primaries how do I apply, if not how do I apply for the diploma? 2 . Can I apply if from out of South Africa? (I'm in Swaziland, Swaziland we all train outside, no schools there for medicine/MBCHB, I'm currently an MO.) 3. Does it mean I may to come to SA do internship and commserv then apply? (Studied in Ghana).
@DrAnn_Healthhub
@DrAnn_Healthhub Жыл бұрын
Hi so you have to be in SA and registered with HPCSA (Board) in order to write diplomas with CMSA (college of medicine South Africa). You need to get to SA first and do internship and conserve then you can write. See my coming to SA video also press on the links.

Your description about Anaesthesiology is Hilarious. Those guys work. Its a mentally exhausting career. They come earlier than everyone else and leave later everyone else. Its difficult to quickly go run errands during the day like how everyone can. Its not nice having to carry heavy clients in and out of theater beds. They are constantly alert because even simple easy cases can end up fatal if you don't pick it up. Having to answer phone calls and lift up beds can be annoying 😂. You always Having to chase after surgical complications to improve operating conditions and patient outcomes 😭 JUST kidding, anaesthesia is a great specialty
