During my childhood I witnessed our grandfather making basket and sold it without bringing to the market. But nowadays I havn't seen anybody doing the same in our town. Because of the rising technology this kind of money making skill has disappered and never seen for a long time. This was a lovely video, and very helpful - there is a smaller variety of bamboo that grows by my home and I've been considering making some baskets for collecting mushrooms in. Definitely a better idea of how to go about making the strips to use for weaving
