Why Miro Wants to LEAVE AEW

In April 2020, Rusev was released from the WWE and shortly after would debut in AEW as Miro, to much excitement. And while his run started off well, it fell off and has never really recovered and has been in a state of stalemate for a couple years now. So where did it all go wrong and why is this the case? And why has Miro disappeared off TV and nowhere to be found in AEW right now? We’ll discuss all that and more so like the video, subscribe and let’s get into it.

Miro should have been a pretty easy slam dunk for AEW… make him a monster heel, have him HANDILY beat the ever loving shit out of the smaller guys like Darby Allin, Jack Perry, Danhausen etc. by utterly destroying them, and have only a handful of guys “stand up” to him. Easy, simple to follow character. Big, violent, ruthless bad guy who has a championship belt, maybe not the World Title, but the TNT, International or Continental title, make him the guy to beat, have him become that mid-tier guy you have to overcome to become a top baby face. It’s the same as I’ve always advocated for Chris Jericho, Christian, Adam Copeland, Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe etc. - the guys who are well known, well established and coming towards the end of their career - which is to use them in a “King Maker” role, use their status and fame to give the rub to younger guys. They don’t have to lose all the time of course, but you use them to build less established guys up. AEW have done a terrible job of using their big names/established stars in my opinion.

Something I think people still aren't use to with AEW is how little the company actually says about the wrestlers directly. We don't learn about injuries or personal issues until way later sometimes. I know people were complaining about Wardlow disappearing at one point. Then you add up all the crap that happened to him outside of wrestling. Same with Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter and a few others. AEW leaves room for speculation - for better or worse.

Even tons and tons of people online reported how much they missed the guy, how they LOVE his "God's Favourite Gladiator" skit, and are excited to see him really deliver and push everything to greater heights because Miro is awesome! I'm not surprised. All Elite Wrestling is basically a place where (at best) only about half the roster is relevant. The other half are lucky if they get on TV more than once a year. And now that "Elevation" and "Dark" are gone, that half can't even get KZbin exposure. Along with Miro, other noteworthy guys we've barely seen for many months include Scorpio Sky, Wardlow, and Lance Archer - and these were at one time main-event talents! I'm still wondering where Zak Knight and Preston Vance are, but for the time being AEW can do without them. Keith Lee and AR Fox have been missing for so long that I'm starting to wonder why AEW hired them in the first place. AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, WHERE IS DANHAUSEN?! I've actually wanted him to have a run with the TNT Championship, but I haven't seen him at all!

I think AEW just don't know how to utilise powerhouse wrestlers miro, wordlow, hobbs, brian cage are some of the good examples, it could be because most of their product focused on flips and dives.

Always thought he was overrated and kinda hard to do a lot when he never wants to lose like Malaki Black. Hope he does well but I thought he was the best (man) when he did Rusev Day with Aiden English. Rusev Day calendars would have been phenomenal.
