Bro the tip about magik being offset from crosshair when measuring a dash is such a huge help. I always miss my E and this may be why

I actually dont play Magik but got fucked in ranked by a rly good magik player today so I wanted to understand how she works for next time and you did a great job explaining it! Keep it up! One thing I wish you'd done was include how to do the one shot combo since lots of ppl might not know and are new to the hero.

Dash and right click both animation cancel a left click and at low enough health and rage melee is slightly faster than left click. With this in mind left click > right click > left click > dash > melee. You can swap the order and start with left click dash left click right click melee/swing

whoever says Magik's minion is bad, they are bad at her and dont know how to use it. Minion is perfect for duels and for mixups, constantly builds your shield and can also tank hits for you, it also counters Scarlet's braindead laser.

Hey, was playing with Magik today and noticed that if you do Whirl at the tip of the hitbox on an enemy then back up before dashing back in while its still active, you can make the hitbox tick twice. Idk if you know about this but i thought it was neat

This might be big, after further investigation it will allow for a combo to kill without the quick melee but the range is too tight for it to have much practicality unless the target is standing still, maybe someone is sleeping/frozen/stunned or a Punisher turret or doctor Strange making a portal Nice to know tho

Great video! I come from Smite and I see Magik as Tyr in a sense (mainly with the big sword and her E ability and playstyle almost - both brawler/single focused types) and I agree with the demon tip, it’s very strong in the right situation

Great guide. You're the first Magik player ive seen that im convinced is better than me haha. I feel the hardest games with Magik is when your backline is getting dived and you need to play a weird defensive backline position on your healers. Super hard to get real value in those matches. If I could ask for a buff for Magik, Id say her Ult portal dash and minion should get buffed, the swing takes AGES to actually do damage and the demon should do damage around him or a bigger aoe, maybe portal verticality too like you mentioned. She feels so good to play, I hope the 15% damage nerf after the team up changes doesn't make her trash

OMG FINALLY! I’ve Been looking for a high rank Magik to confirm all the information you dropped. She is my favorite character but you can not carry with her because she depends on her team When you say very SITUATIONAL I completely understand. I can drop 30+ bodies one game and then under 10 next game. Dont matter how careful you play if your team doesn’t fight you are going to be in for a long game. I’m just happy you have dropped all the truth bombs to make ppl that don’t play her know she is NOT easy and NOT fun if you play for ONLY kills She needs buff on ult transformations and to be honest a natural over shield of 50 that regens out of combat and a 50 shield max increase due to the new 50 over shield. Dash hit box needs to be bigger (this is skill issue but even the best players miss) Portal: I agree verticals but also a lil distance more for escape ability. Demons are perfect maybe demon in Ult attack distance should be further. I’m just happy about your post everything you said is exact how I feel 😅

Sheesh you don’t want a lot do you… honestly just chill out, magik is STRONG when you’re good with her and have a team comp that works for her, which is completely fine, she doesn’t work in all situations which is normal. There’s other heroes that need buffs way more than magik. I’m a magik OTP

I have a really hard time getting in with her. I just get hard focused. My tram is always telling me i have to get into thr backline but I just get focused everytime. I'll land a full combo on a squishy but they just get heals and I dont get the kill. I'm going to start playing more front line like you talk about. I wish her dash hitbox was a little bit larger.

make a video talking about good characters to play with and against Magik, tell people how much Luna Snow with an E on Magik makes her so much better, every game that I have a luna or Mantis the games is just 10x easier. Also good to tell how to approach each enemy with her, I see so many Magik players just wasting their combo on a character that will most likely survive it

Yea its tough cause shes my best dps by far but a lot of the times playing my team just pushes way too far or is poking from range and i then have nothing to do or no heals if i do engage. Kinda sucks ngl just pick her endgame and certain maps now

The biggest issue is this is an awful lot of effort and caveats to make a character work when you could just pick someone else and do the same job easier and without as many restrictions. I love the character but man is it hard work just to do basic things.

Best combo I've found for squishies is M1, melee, right click, M1, melee. The melee + right click weave perfectly between the M1 GCD, and you can add on an E, M1, melee at the end if you need to burst down a tank a little more
