The main difference between the EH is autonomy, which reduces the cost of flying, there is no need to pay for the services of a pilot and his transportation. The flight range is quite consistent with the size of almost any city. It is quite possible that already this year they will receive permission to open several routes in China.

The idea of having these EVTOL's used as an UBER is a fantastic idea! Certified Pilots (NOT your average citizen!) can serve as pilots taking passengers from one short location to another destination. The average UBER ride costs each person around $20 to $30 per ride so I wonder how these would fare out.

0.17 cents a minute is what it costs roughly to drive a car every minute/mile now...I'm designing an autonomous that could peacefully coexist with urban landscapes and other transportation, and you will be able to rent it for about 10 cents a minute eventually. The MK-1 has only 1 seat, for liability reasons and whatnot but I aim for 3-5 eventually - no greedy price per passenger bs (all the same 10-15 cents a minute/mile regardless of how many are riding). Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Miami, Seoul, Hong Kong...you name it, it will be an option there to get over the overpopulated and bustling interstates below. Most people will probably use it for what would normally be a 1-2-hour drive, which would be about a 30-40-minute flight. there would be small vertiports near where main highways enter cityscapes from different directions. So, it would be about $18 (35 min * 0.125 cents to * 2 (and from)) for flights like that. And it's much more stable in-flight because (of a non-patented thing I just designed).

FAA approval after new testing and safety compliances will make flying through urban and some suburban environments quite an exciting experience. Taking a bus or shuttle to a flight liftoff station where a VTOL that can lift you, commuting, to anywhere - literally anywhere- within 150 km adds purposeful career options depth and new safety and emergency access for emergency personnel. Paramedics, nurses, doctors, various medical personnel, firefighting and police officers and many other people in many other types and sorts of jobs can now have easier access to their harder to reach "work" (emergency) locations. Imagine if you will, rescuing stranded roadway drivers from a flooded highway, or accessing disaster victims near a forest fire to help evacuate them, and many more emergency applications for VTOL-not only regular everyday new formats of private and public transportation. I see a great future for these with regards to users accessing city proximity from over river waterways or from mountainous/hillside regions with poor road access. It will save on fuel consumption and fuelling costs for they hiring their use. 🦋 With designated landing and takeoff pads on the roofs of central buildings this taxi service is a sure winner. All we truly need then is access to elevators on the outsides of buildings that are efficient and fast and we are working towards improving commutes for city inhabitants and beyond. All inland flights should now be battery and green hydrogen fuelled. This should have taken place decades ago.

What about evtol in flight recharging? A model rocket attached to a thin wire with the other end hooked up to the battery, coiled up to save space and prevent tangles, the pilot would fire the rocket into a cloud filled with static electricity. The wire would "encourage" some of that static electricity to "go hot" and travel along the wire. *BOOM* the batteries are charged beyond 100% instantaneously.

Part of "disclosure" game our government and others where anything wonderful or out of the box thinkinking gets kicked to "national security" or so which makes it unpatentable but destroys the use of it even by the reinventor. Noticed I said reinventor? Even the miraculous Nicolai Tesla and many others have stated that that have only rediscovered what has been previously known or covered up. All these great ideas, dynamic effort and capitalistic struggling is for naught as there is something already better out there. They (aka Elite, power brokers, etc.) Won't let us have it..naughty naughty..go figure. Frigging bastards. Was gonna stop few clicks ago but bullshit. These fuckers aim to keep us down. Dribble out a little tech, something cool, enough to keep us at bay, quench our needs a bit. Distraction is their weapon of choice and it seems to be working well. If that doesn't work they really like smearing some good honest thinking individual who really does believe he's helping mankind. Then BAM, they just railroad this person finacialy, leak un truths, destroy his family. This "game" of theirs has no boundries only despicable acts to keep this society "DARK". And historians labeled midevil times "dark" hah! We are the blind, the unfounded, the ones who wish things were better but DO NOTHING to change it. Alas I myself as most are included. Clearly Joby and Lilium have the best combination of important characteristics. And as of today (20221208) each share of LILM is only $1.27 since the share price has been consistently falling. That's a company valuation of $382M USD for LILM and 2180M for JOBY. From this I infer the market believes JOBY has a big advantage over LILM, even though (to me) the Lilium aircraft seems to edge out the Joby design in most ways. Does anyone know why the market values JOBY about 6x higher than LILM ??? Seems I'm missing something ... though maybe the 2x higher estimated sale price per airplane for LILM is the reason? Opinions? Based on my own very early design attempts I estimate Lilium will eventually reduce the total number of motors by somewhere between 4 and 8. That should improve efficiency a bit and help lower the price slightly. Also, I'm guessing that after 1 or 2 years they'll do without pilots, which will lower weight and operating costs.

Flying in a straight line to your destination in a vtol taxi or private carrier drone saving time is a pipe dream. When vtols come down in price and become more accessible to the public, governments will implement "fly lanes" through which you can fly either manually or pre-programmed into the unmanned flight computer. And you can bet these fly lanes will follow the road network as people will be afraid of them malfunctioning and come crashing down on houses or apartment blocks.

THe big three are Joby Lilium and Ehang. Those are the three with most invested time and effort. And all three will fare well once they get their numbers and routes up to speed. Expect full deployment in the next 3 to 5 years. As its not neccesarily about the evolution and completion of the aircraft as their just about done, but rather the vertiports and overall air networks that has to be built alongside current aviation commercial operations. New laws and regulations having to be drawn up to accomodate these aircraft which will likely fly in bravo airspace. and how it will coinside with current bravo airspace aircraft. never the less. its just about time to invest in their stocks granted, write not it doesnt look as if their stocks is doing well. Its actually fine. those that get in big now may take a beating but when it all takes off as its already doing in regards to notoriety. then people will invest hard. This is a trilliion dollar industry in the making. a self serving industry and yet one that will branch off into many sectors. If anything its the helicopter industry that will take a major hit with the coming of these evtols, just as capable less complicated and seating more with far less pollution. Lilium only provided miniature models that can only fly for a few minutes at just 70km/h as compared to the touted 280km/h so they're not really proving anything yet when it comes to the travel aerodynamics. I'm not sure if Joby is load-less but, at least, it is full-scale and flies at full speed with all the equipment onboard so it's not just hype. The elephant in the room is that small-factor propellers are exrreeemely inefficient and there's no working around it.

The other options are not cheap neither but, at least, they're taking battery limitations into consideration. Lilium will only be worth it once battery density goes up considerably but that'll probably take us another decade. In the meantime, it's wiser to bet on the other competitors I'd say.

There will be no "Joe Average" sitting in a drone... Investors are totally aware of that... That's why there's NO successful electric airplane company out there. And BTW 2.1: Airbus and other airplane manufacturers are doing it for PR reasons, only. There was a battery powered small Cessna in the 1980's. No success. There are some battery powered small airplanes today. No success. It's a waste of money and a waste of time. I published many articles and books about it (in german language). Regards from Europe. RS

I agree we didn't see it all before.. EVTOL JOBY s4 is an absolutely rubbish design: heavy, inefficient, over-complicated, poor range and expensive.. yep, that's definitely a future - future disaster for all investors!

The information about Lillium is already wrong. Those will cost about $1 million each and are estimated to generate $2 million/year in revenue as service begins to wind up.

We wont see real widespread flying vehicles like this until we have overcome small scale nuclear power generation and the ability to manipulate gravity.

My personal opinion, is that a hybrid (Elect. & Nat. Gas) would be the way to go (Increased distances). We now know, that EVs have already run their course, and people are tired of spending a lot of their hard earned $$$$, to travel a short distance, and then have to replace batteries after a couple of years, at another big cost.
@evonmaxaman74793 жыл бұрын
All of this is of course very interesting, but it seems to me that all these machines have no future. They are too large. However, the device that you had at the end of the video, in the lower left corner, looks promising. I would like to know more about him.

Looks and sound nice but I would not ride no tilting wing aircraft. The US government has problems with keeping their aircraft in the air.

these vehicles are planes more than flying cars.The size should be reduced and emergency backup should be installed.Noise reduction technologies should be installed.
