Noticed in game 1 an interesting field set up he could have done with Painkiller and Blaster Dark. Instead of putting Painkiller behind Dark, he could have put it behind PBD so PBD swings for 21k against 10k, making it less likely to guard. Then use Painkiller’s skill which triggers Blaster Dark’s skill of gaining 5k if one of your RG’s was retired that turn, so it’d swing for the same magic number against a 10k. (New cards and all, was just something fun I realized that works well with that card in PBD) Also in game 3, you PG’d and then left the PG behind the VG as a booster instead of drop zoning it lol.

You really want cb1 +1 with BD that makes your Alden first turn less consistent than a free +2? Then, is that "retire" part of the skill that important?

nope, not replacing them.cuz you are playing a G3 deck ,extra drive is nothing in the early game

@@seir5772 atleast its better than drawing a trigger from rook`s skill. that retire part is an ok thing. its still a free call from javelin and still completely RNG but so is fort as well with his skill as well. so let me ask you this. is calling a trigger to the field that worth it than just turning that said free call into a twin drive even in a Grade 3 focused build.

@@chrisxcrozz5186 Id still prefer Forte and rooks. Calling a grade 3 to help rushing your opponent down and drawing from rooks Is just plain better in my eyes. And drawing a trigger is a good thing in Bastion. Its where you're shield comes from. So in every instance id gladly use forte and Rooks over the blasters.

Just friendly reminder pbd can call any blaster from soul when you ride it. So when you persona ride you can call the javelin or pbd you rode over

Hexaorb only gives a RG an additional 10k with her skill so guarding could have been different but it didn’t much matter for the outcome of the match. Just for future reference

So something that wasn't mentioned but I'm not sure if it was overlooked or if the situations didn't work but blaster darks cb retire and +1 drive works when he is called to rc too :D

Yes it does He will not perform a drive check however since he only gained a drive and not the ability to drive check it will not perform drive checks on RG Now if you rip the over trigger and have used BD skill, then he will perform a twin drive Does that make sense?

You only drive check from the Vanguard circle. The plus one drive is only good if you get the keter over trigger during drive check.

So I noticed that BD says "choose one of your opponent's rear guards" as half of the effect, so why can you still pay the cost when you can't resolve the full effect?

You can pay the cost of any ability But you have to resolve all of the effects as much as possible

PBD is defs not a replacement for Hexaorb as she is still an awesome deck as Eugene...never was lol. I'm not even attempting to play test PBD until we see his other 2 support cards because of showings like this, just doesn't seem worth it until we get his other 2 cards. I like that Overlord is splashable and a flexible unit as a VG or RG, wonder why they didn't go that route with PBD.

It's due to how the cards originally were made. Original Overlord was a good VG or RG, while Phantom was only really useable as a VG. With these new cards they're trying to reference the originals as much as they can while still keeping their overall power level within Overdress levels
