My current character is a scraggly fisherman without firepower living almost a month in game days now...just learning the lay of the land where I reside. The spots where I can see, the spots that can't see. I don't wander far...I don't have too. I have water, food, heat, shelter...and I am beginning to notice the travel paths as I sit silently watching the world go by. Which buildings get visited most...and what areas most people do not go when fights break out. I am watching all of this quietly...thinking "I know this area...I should get a gun and assert myself instead of hiding in the trees....then I see videos like this lmao. I always regret not doing this, I finally get a stacked character, survive close calls, continue being lucky, then I die stupidly looking for trouble and it makes me multiple attempts to to have a stable character again. Lay low, observe, clacualate favorable odds, then dip and live another day.!
