Jonathan Taylor Thomas is a good actor and a strong human being. He was very mature young man who was able to sort out who he was and his priorities. He saw potential pitfalls and with strong conviction put his life on a path HE wanted, not what the industry, his peers, and Hollywood insiders wanted. Bravo, well done.🤩

Jonathan, you do what's right for you. Don't let others bother you. They'll say what they want, when they want, no matter if what they're thinking and saying has any truth to it or not. The road to your happiness and the road to heaven is not through somebody else's yard. 👍

Jonathan clearly realized that fame and fortune doesnt equal happiness. Im glad he took the path that made him happy! Also you can never go wrong with expanding your education. This is not a sad tragedy as the title suggests.

Just because his life was different than others , he was expecting to have trouble finding his way to adult , actually he was doing what he needed to do what he wanted to do with school and his personal life Most kids at his age gives in the drugs or mental health care He showed he a great person who knew what he wanted in life, proud of him ❤️ taking the role of a young adult ♥️

The only tragedy I see is what we all deal with for better or worse. Our fleeting youth and the passage of time. I admire what he accomplished as a young actor and having the maturity to move ahead with other ambitions. We only have one shot at this thing, so strive for happiness and enjoy the ride!

I think the reason why Tim didn't approve Jonathan's decision to leave Home Improvement was because unlike Jonathan, Tim was committed to become a full-time actor alongside his stand-up. The pressures of acting job proved to be too much for Jonathan. It makes total sense why Tim couldn't understand why Jonathan left the show. Which is why Tim is currently at the top of his career. The same thing was with Patricia Richardson. She said in the documentary that she didn't want to do Home Improvement beyond the pilot episode. She stuck around solely for the payment. Patricia's career declined significantly after Home Improvement ended and she and Tim no longer had anything to do with each other. While Patricia's reason to leave the show was partially understandable, she created an toxic work environment on the set by demanding more money and bigger part in the show. Tim ultimately decided to end the show because he was tired of the drama she was causing. Reportedly, the show's producers almost give into her demands about the equal payment and the executive producer rights but Tim was the one who pulled the plug because he didn't want to work with people who's sole motivation is money. The producers claimed that Patricia held the cards. That is not true. Home Improvement was identified with Tim Allen and his comedy routine. He was the star of the show. The rest of the cast were supporting actors. There is no such thing as "gender pay gap". There is "How much value do you bring to the industry" gap. Tim was the glue that held the show together. Take Patricia away, people would still watch. Take Tim away, there is no show. The producers and Patricia herself overestimated her worth and value on the show. Tim didn't do the show for the money, he did it because he LOVED doing the show. The same can't be said about the rest of the cast. People don't want to talk about this but Patricia Richardson was replaceable. Tim Allen was not. Tim was the one who actually had more integrity and spine than Patricia did. She practically stabbed him in the back by single handedly forcing the show to get cancelled by making the pay gap an issue behind-the-scenes because her ego and pride was wounded. It wasn't right or fair that Tim had to go through this type of injustice.

I was wondering what happened to him & why I never saw him in any movies or shows & good for him once the cameras stopped rolling he goes home & does regular kid & teenage things. He stayed out of the party & drug scene & this has saved his life unlike other child actors although some don't have the luxury of going home to mom & dad & friends to do normal things. Some child stars come from broken homes or have parents who wanted to have fame but were denied that opportunity, so they force their kid into it which leaves mental scars on the kid. Why his former costars expressed disappointment in his choice to not be part of the Hollywood elite is pathetic it's Jonathan's life if he doesn't want to participate in Hollyweird's messed up lifestyle that's his choice. Get off his back especially Jay Leno Jon should've told him "Hey, it's none of you damn business how that for your answer Leno."
