I worked as a Maintenance Man at Monticello Dam and I've seen Ducks and other water foul Fly out the discharge end, it is much bigger inside under the Glory Hole, I think it might be some sort of Duck Game or Duck I Dare You, lol 🦆🦆🌊

The Guatemala City sink hole is based on a flaw the sprawling megapolis builds on. Hundreds of feet of compressed volcanic ash and other pyroclastic debris from nearby volcanos filled in the valley floor making it appear relatively flat and easy to build on. However, underground water can quickly erode caverns out under the city above. Leaking storm drains, faulty city sewers, and periods of heavy rain only worsen the problem. Ironically, some of the footage shown comes from the old capital city simply known as Antigua which is higher up in the mountains.

Yeah never thought of that, and saying “some of them” is being modest, A LOT of them end up like giant almost perfect cylinder like holes… I mean the cracks, crevice’s, and caves that are beneath the sinkholes before they happen and which create/cause them SURELY are not perfectly cylinder shaped, AND YET once they actually become sinkholes they so often end up in that round shape some how🤔

I mean there has to be a singular point of failure where the sinkhole originated from. From there, the walls cave in, and if it caves in from one side, the weight will push against the other side, making that side fall as well. There needs to be an equilibrium when it comes to force for many things in nature, that’s why ripples in water are often circular from a single point.

i grew up in the south eastern region of south australia, limestone country with caves and swamps that sometimes had a sinkhole with it. on our farm the swamp (about 500metres across had one on its edge, it would open up and almost drain the swamp n a matter of hours from time to time, while much smaller than the ones in this video it was still a rather weird experience to see, there was one that appeared under a boundry fence we discovered after a lot of rain, also smaller in scale but 15' across and 20' deep. there are many in the area

I love about 10-15 minutes from the #1 sinkhole in Napoleonville and at the time of it’s opening we could feel the quake from it. It’s pretty scary knowing the earth is unearthing beneath us and there is nothing we can do about it.

this sink hole was caused by a contractor drilling a exploratory drilling for an oil company. they penetrated the top of the salt mine and caused the sink hole. brian bloom is correct, the sinkhole was caused by stupidity, greedy oil companies and the like. louisana is loosing two football fields a day of their marsh land to saltwater erosion which is devastating the locals that make their living fishing, shrimping, crabbing and other wildlife supported by the marsh for untold generations to come. one stupid activity is helping wipe out their means of making a living. bp greed was bad enough.
