The first time I saw the Isetta was on Family Matters. It was Steve Urkel's car.

One model that definitely should have been placed in the list is GM's 1982 prototype called the lean machine! It's part bike and part car. It even had a proposed option to convert it to an airplane on the fly. It was showcased in EPCOT's World of Motion Pavilion for years. It also had a projected fuel economy of 200 mpg! For the life of me, I don't know why they never pursued this further! Oh wait, the oil companies probably had something to say about it! Research! You need to do it better. I’ll give you a few free tips. The Nissan S Cargo was a limited run vehicle, never meant to sell more than 5000 units. They ended up producing and selling 8000. Further, it was not based on a 2CV. It was based on the Nissan Micra. Next, the 1943 electric car you showed was far from the first. First generation electric cars were widely available from the 1890s until the 1920s, and were easily more popular than gas powered cars in their first 15-20 years of production. There you go. A start down the right path.

I really wish BMW had kept up the micro car line and other manufacturers had done so as well because that would have reduced a lot of fuel consumption from people who got a normal size car who lived by themselves hardly ever take people with them and don't mean much room to carry stuff

They were designed for easy travel for short distances,the Electric failed because women loved them ,and competitors decried them as women's cars and sales to men were not there .
