I'm glad they included Snake Island. I had heard about the high concentration of snakes on the island and thought it wasn't possible to have such a high concentration. To have that many snakes they would have a food source to survive. Enter the the birds they mention. I've read where this island is in a flight pattern of some sort that causes the birds to rest on the island. Maybe it's far from other islands. I'd heard of some of these but by no means all, so thank you. It's good to know that governments are thinking of the future - or, in the case of Lascaux, the past - and taking steps to preserve things for future generations. Increasing tourism is a blessing until it becomes a curse, people destroying the very thing that people go there to see. There's a vid about places that have been ruined by tourists. Mr Ballen did a video on Snake Island - several people have died from snakebite, including a lighthouse keeper and his family. But apparently people still go there, trying to capture the snakes to sell - a lot of them never come back. I don't know who'd want to own so deadly a snake, but apparently there's a market; let's just hope that they keep the snakes very securely enclosed; heaven forbid that any escaped into a new environment and start breeding. He also did one on North Sentinel Island, and what happened to that missionary

Lascaux cave in France is linked to cro-magnon man and that goes back up to 30,000 years! Not 17,000. A painting show a perfect representation of the Pleiades solar system and Orion solar system, the right number of planets and their placement, just perfect. This shows that they were not primitive at all. Around the world legends do tell about Pleiades and Orion, so how could they know? But between both solar systems you had the bull sign that is made when linking star to star, not any star of course. All is perfect is place like you would see it in the sky. So much is not understood yet.

Pluto is the name of a Roman god, Hades is the Greek name
@clapiotis5 ай бұрын
Greek is one of the very few languages in the world that is spoken continuously and uninterrupted for 3.500 years with little changes up to present day. That means that Greeks speak more or less the same language today as their ancestors 3.500 years ago, albeit with some evolutionary changes. Greeks today even use the same alphabet as 3.500 years ago, believe it or not. Latin is by the way 2.700 years old and not spoken officially in our days. Both Pluto and Hades are Greek names appearing in the Greek mythology. Pluto is ΠΛΟΥΤΩΝ(ΑΣ) and his brothers where Zeus (ΖΕΥΣ/ΔΙΑΣ) and Poseidon [ΠΟΣΕΙΔΩΝ(ΑΣ)]. Pluto was the underworld God and Hades (ΑΔΗΣ) although he also represented the master of the underground world, it was mainly used as a similar meaning of what we call today hell. The word Plouto comes from the Ancient Greek word Ploutos (ΠΛΟΥΤΟΣ) and it means Wealth. The word Pluto is even used in today's Modern Greek language and it means exactly the same. Greetings from Athens, Greece (ΧΑΙΡΕΤΙΣΜΟΥΣ ΑΠΟ ΑΘΗΝΑ, ΕΛΛΑΔΑ).

Went to Thailand to see Maya Bay. They had just shut it down. We were able to moor outside of the bay where I was stung by a huge jellyfish and scared by a baby shark,because I am a wuss. I understand why they shut it down. But still,bummer. A monkey sat on my shoes,pooped in one of them,then proceeded to eat his poop from my shoe? Thailand!

In 2017 I was lucky enough to visit Maya Bay. At that time the tour guides had mentioned they were going to close off the beaches due to the coral reef decline.

The Golden Lancehead Viper that inhabits snake island is nowhere near the worlds most venomous snake. 20 of the Top 25 venomous snakes are from Australia. The Top 11 are all Australian.

Isn't Pluto a Roman god not Greek? Hades is the Greek version.
