We adore your family and your work. We visited Tokyo this past April, while we were on a 3-night pre-cruise tour. We loved Japan so much, we are going back next April on another cruise. We are looking forward to the location links. Keep up the great work and stay safe.

Awww, I was so excited to see that this was posted... ironically JUST after I'd left Japan! You'll be happy to know that KZbin pushed and pushed and pushed this video to me, but I had minimal opportunities to watch anything. I'm super excited to check it out now!!! From the intro, it looks like we've done a few of the same things :) AWESOME!

I’m Japanese living in Japan . I think when we reserve sushi restaurants for special day, we prefer table than counter.Sometimes we need extra money for sitting table.Maybe that’s the reason. I hope you could have counter seats!

What's up Top Flight Family!! Great to see you guys!! This trip was super dope! I've always wanted to visit Japan, specifically Tokyo! It always looked alien to me because nothing is in English everywhere I looked but it's content like you guys put out that always makes me more comfortable with giving a city a try! It looks like y'all had a great time! Sean and Ella were almost too tall for those beds at he hotel!!😆 I'm glad Serge got to make it, it was cool to see the girls reaction and run to daddy, that was precious. I hope all goes well with the clean up at your home from the flood😟 And by the way Carmen, you were rockin that bucket hat with major respect...True New Yorker style😊And again thank you for the wonderful food tours! Shout out to Sean and Ella for their priceless reactions and facial expressions to rate the food tastes!!😆😆😆 Thank you for another super awesome video! Can't wait to see where you guys go next!! and as always, Be well, be safe and Cheers!!!

Try having someone who speaks Japanese call and request a seat at the counter the next time you make a reservation. Forget about online reservations. Personally, I like sitting away from the counter cause I feel the need to say "oishii" to the chef for each course. I just want to relax and eat. Lol.
@jenmar9428 Жыл бұрын
You are so right. I do the same when I travel. I always let the hotel receptionist call for me. I realize not all country deal well with online reservation.

Hey family. Sorry about the flooding. The unexpected challenges in a home. Glad Serge was able to join you quickly. Sean and Ella’s reactions to the foods are hilarious. They are a bit more daring than me. Wonder why you couldn’t sit at the counter on your date night? Did you guys ask or just took it for whatever it was? We were on the MAS 1.5 Bermuda cruise last week and was hoping to experience local street food. This was a different port to accommodate larger ships. Was all tourist restaurants. And at the beach the usual burger fries hot dogs 🌭 mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. So very disappointing. We ported right In Hamilton in 1992 but was a smaller ship. Literally walked off the ship, crossed the street and was in local town. That was amazing. Great vid as usual. Thanks so much for sharing and see you next video.

Any really good sushi place in Japan requires specific reservation in definitely in advance at counter .. 😅
@TopFlightFamily Жыл бұрын
Yep, like we explained in the video, we had reservations, and we even pre-paid for the meal online. So we thought that would get us a seat the counter. But clearly there's something else you need to do that wasn't explained anywhere on the website, hence the confusion. It would just be nice if the restaurant made things clearer to avoid this kind of disappointment.
