Also, the Anti Material sniper (stratagem) is basically the AT canon but without a backpack (and far less ammo but quicker/easier reloads).

​@@demyx0067autocannon does too much noise. AMR on other hand need 1 shot per most of enemies and you can go forward unnoticed. Especially paired with revolver, jetpack and sickle (granades optional)

@@InVentor-xn2yq I mean, sure. If your goal is to be sneaky, the AMR is amazing, and it is my most used support weapon after the Autocannon. But when shit goes down and you need to defend a spot, the Autocannon can't be replaced

@@InVentor-xn2yq funny enough, I noticed the AC explosions draw enemies to the explosions rather than my firing position, so it's actually a bit better for stealth and combat in general

@@acezero8132 actually, yes. Enemies drawn attention to their fallen allies if they near to or see them. AC additionaly draw attention with explosion. I mostly scouting separated from the team so I prefer stay quiet as possible (taking revolver for that cause) - destr "guardians of the enter" of the base from distance, sneak in to objective and then get outta there. With this tactic we can maximize teams effectiveness (on 7 diff I cleaned bots outposts moving at opposite direction from team, join them on final main obj and on our way to extr pick up samps on outposts without bots)

The autocannon is such a mighty Swiss Army Knife against the Automatons. It's just too good to pass on it. Sure it can't take out dropships, but it can still do so much. And the main thing that probably helps it from being too OP is the fact it uses a backpack slot as well for the ammo. Good against the bugs too, but I think for them I might have some other support weapons in mind.

recoilless rifle’s good, it can deal with tanks by shooting anywhere unlike the autocannon… if you got a teammate who can help. Coordination isn’t high with randoms so you either carry the backpack yourself or they run off with your backpack and turn your rifle into an expendable anti tank

Autocannon can't kill every bot below Hulk in dropships before they get to the ground even when there are 2-3 dropships. Go grenade launcher. Can get towers, hulks from the back and tanks just like AC. Only one against bots it fails against is ATAT's. You technically get your backpack slot back, but since it's ammo hungry probably need supply backpack, but now you have a ton of grenades and stun grenades and ammo for Dom/scorcher or whatever primary you choose.

One thing the autocannon can't do--stay quiet. When you fire it, everyone knows where you are. Not ideal for sneaky playstyles.

I have had times where I fired an autocannon shot at a fabricator and slightly missed the sweet spot, causing the round to deflect into a nearby rock. For some reason this generally causes the crew of the fabricator base to run out and stare at the rock that got hit by the autocannon round.

If you shoot the strider in the underbelly, where the devastators drop out, you can kill it in a few hits. Literally only run the AC an the only thing I can't kill with it are drop ships and bile titans.

Autocannon can blow up the strider via belly fabricator, the eye on the front of the cab, and can destroy it via the joints on the legs.

500kg is great it will one shot biles,hulks,tanks and fabricators, its on a very short cooldown and you have two of them. Think of it as your elite killer and a one size fits all solution. Autocannon is very versatile but uses backpack slot id say its very interchangable with any other support weapon, but to be fair i never use backpacks after 250 hours because they are useless when compared to an actual stratagem.

Latly use laser cannon and shield, sniper main. Its fun, not much efective when u clear mobs but u clear trash from distance then push to camps with shield. Some SWAT vibe.

Gotta be bait. The Auto Cannon can do pretty much everything other than take out a drop ship. Bile Titans, Hulks, Chargers and Tanks all fall over if you hit the right spot. It can close fabricators and nests, has amazing range, can take out Shrieker nests outside of their spawn range...

While I feel like the autocannon is a slightly boring choice, it's the most versatile weapon by far. And for Bot missions, I prefer the orbital laser over the MOAB.
