I think it's Hadvar just trying to be nice to the PC, but then again during Alduin's attack, he took his time to make sure the PC was escorted safely. So yeah, Hadvar is certainly one of the nicer NPC's in the game.

I always wondered how they would have sent their body. Outside of literally freezing it theres not really that much magic that can stop a rotting corpse. And some of the places are way too far to just carry there like Black Marsh or Elsweyr. Thats a lot of effort to carry a bag of bones across the country for a declared criminal. Also, I doubt they would have went especially after dealing with a civil war and who knows if Hadvar could make a call like that.
@redthewifeyhunter40343 жыл бұрын
@@thebleachbartender1312 they may cremate bodies and put the remains in burial urns (like the ones found in nord ruins) It would cost a lot to transport bodies across country lines. Some players speculated that he was just lying to make the PC feel better. @@canadianbeef1958uh…where is this info from exactly…? Pretty sure Daedra are immortal as an example, while mer and beastfolk are not, certain cases notwithstanding. Plus there’s a whole host of lore about how mortal souls as a whole are quite different from the Daedra. While the idea of summoning an Altmer or something is hilarious the idea that those races are Daedra doesn’t really seem supported, the closest I can think of is a character believing Tamriel is a daedric realm of Lorkhan. The only one that can very loosely, *very* debatably be considered even related would be the Dunmer, due to literally being cursed by Azura
@krislaracoelho864322 күн бұрын
@@arandomyoutubecommenter728I know this comment was made months ago, but some could argue Khajiit are also daedric in origin, as they were also supposedly shaped by Azura (or Azurah for them) from some other race, and binding them to the moons, and is worshipped by them as the mother of their kind. Still, as with the Dunmer, I'm not sure I'd consider them daedra per se bc they inhabit Nirn, not Oblivion. The Argonians are complicated bc supposedly they were created by the Hist trees, and those are mysterious enough in their own respect. The only association of them and daedra that I could find is that they often venerate Sithis, which is sometimes misinterpreted as a daedra (he's neither aedra nor daedra) No clue where the Bretons fit in this tho.

@@dwight3555 Exept even he admits, that banning Talos wasn't the empire brightest moment, but also states, that it was necessary and wasn't really enforced before the rebellion. I mean in Whiterun there is a literal statue of Talos, even tho there almost everyone is pro-empire.
@dwight35553 жыл бұрын
@@JozsefPocsi It would have been enforced sooner or later, the Thalmor simply win ground every day by sending spies and corrupting the nobility more every day. Because of the Empire allowing the Thalmor to do whatever they want, the Thalmor nearly got a hold of the Eye of Magnus and the secret of Stalhrim forging. The Thalmor doesn't want to risk an all out attack, so they're slowly whittling away at the remains of the Empire, who sacrifices every province it has to save Cyrodiil's ass over and over again. The Empire does not want to fight back, it wants to keep Cyrodiil as powerful as possible by vampirising other provinces. The Empire is governed by the likes of Siddgeir, Maven and Erikur, who either don't hate or actively like the Thalmor because it puts coin in their pockets. Everything is crumbling, the Empire is blind due to the Blades being disbanded, it can't formulate any plan due to corrupt nobility and spies everywhere, its most skilled General can have his time wasted just because the Thalmor wish to by throwing a party, main cities like Bravil are getting pillaged by bandits... An Empire that deserves respect would never have accepted the WGC when it wasn't needed, it was not necessary and destroyed any chances of victory later by making Hammerfell actively hate Cyrodiil and betraying Skyrim. When it signed the WGC, the Empire had just retaken the Imperial City and hanged many powerful Thalmor generals. The Empire signed the treaty because the ones in charge were cowards who believed the Thalmor to be stronger than it was, and because they only cared about the Imperial city and nothing else. The Empire clearly knows that Ulfric's rebellion has been encouraged by the Thalmor actions, and instead of letting Skyrim declare its independence and having Ulfric promise to help Cyrodiil in its time of need if the Thalmor attack, the Empire decided to willingly fight FOR the Thalmor and sacrifice Imperial soldiers and Skyrim freedom fighters alike. Talking to Tullius and every Legate bar Rikke clearly shows you they see the Nords of Skyrim as nothing more than mere beasts who need the Empire to have law and order (sounds quite like every colonizing country), so they have no qualms about crushing Skyrim to pieces if it means Cyrodiil can stand one more day. Every pro-imperial says the Empire is "biding its time", but the events of the civil war clearly shows they are not, and remember it has been 25 YEARS since the treaty, what exactly is the Empire waiting for? They're only getting weaker every day with no hope or plan in sight, and as we saw with the Thalmor Embassy mission, if the Thalmor wanted to attack they could easily Red Wedding style massacre most of the nobility and high-ranked officers of the Empire before even starting a war.

Well in the lore there are a few different types of khajiit, based on when they were born relevant to certain lunar cycles. Some looked like common housecats, and couldn't speak, but served as spies since they were still sentient and able to use their unassuming appearance to their advantage. Some were big as mighty sabrecats and ridden into battle as warmounts, and others looked like regular khajiits, but bigger. And then there were some _that did in fact look very much like elves._ They would even tattoo their faces with patterns similar to the fur patterns other khajiit had to distinguish.
@DovahFett3 жыл бұрын
But Khajiit ARE elves, or at least they used to be. According to their own creation myth they share common ancestors with the Bosmer. Likewise some breeds of Khajiit, such as the Ohmes and Ohmes-raht look almost exactly like men and elves. Their appearances depend entirely on the moons they are born under. If Pelinal Whitestrake walked into a Khajiit settlement and saw one of them it'd be entirely believable that he thought they were elves. Also, at one point the Ohmes breed was one of the most common breeds of Khajiit, which means that most people would probably mistake them for elves.
@asterozoan3 жыл бұрын
@@DovahFett I'd probably make the argument that they came from Mer (or the Proto-Mer spirits sometimes called the "Ooze"), but their unique biology makes them non-elven. In the same way humans (and other apes) evolved from monkeys, but are not monkeys.

Actually think it's because each race has his own cultural way of cooking and so she's trying to pin it down of what the gourmet is by the cultural similarities but I think that it's just that nothing intentionally racist.

My own backstory for my Orc character states that he was raised in a larger stronghold in Morrowind, which was founded just after the Red Mountain erupted. His direct ancestors who settled there were mostly refugees from the aftermath of the Oblivion Crisis, and he didn't want to stay there even though he could have become Chief through single combat with several other candidates, as well as the existing Chief. Instead, he played it smart and left to build his own life in Cyrodiil...except that he was waylaid by the Imperial Legion ambush in Skyrim. So, after he survived, he settled there instead. If I had the option when he approached Hadvar and the Captain, I wanted him to say something along the lines of: "Can I be first, or second? I want to get to the block while the axe blade is still nice and sharp."

Malacath would be proud An orc living in ash and not fearing death because there's just more ash awaiting him after that. Anyway, I just made my Khajiit character a Skooma addict, she's from a lineage of former Khajiit slaves who were being forced to work in Sadrith Mora and were never freed, they managed to escape one day and found a vacant cave somewhere in the nearby coastline to live in, surviving off of whatever they could kill, mostly fish and netches, their social skills were beyond deplorable, the only language they could speak was very rudimentary and unintelligible ta'agra (Khajiit language), they honored their ancestors by taking their names, when Red Mountain erupted; they thought it meant the Dunmer were all dead, they celebrated and went back, only to be arrested by imperial guards as there was a bounty placed on them when they escaped, since they shared the same names as their ancestors, and even though all the slaver owners from sadrith mora had died from the explosion; some telvanni wizards from the mainland offered to pay the bounty, but could not legally take them into custody My character was born in the imperial city, and was unfortunately still considered a prisoner, her parents both died from malnutrition around the same time she turned 10, they gave their food to her because they didn't believe they would ever escape or finish serving their sentence but they knew she'd do great things one day. So, one day, in her cell, she found an old passageway that was used to evacuate the emperor during the oblivion crisis hundreds of years ago and escaped that way, she didn't know what sunlight was and was pretty freaked out, plus there weren't a lot of buisinesses around with the increasing presence of the Thalmor, local buisinesses were being replaced with Thalmor-approved ones who would never take her on as a worker So she had to find illegitimate work with a khajiit caravan, smuggling skooma to clients across cyrodiil, it was a good job for her, she didn't have to speak to any clients, the caravan treated her well for three years, until one client turned out to be a dark elf, she refused to give him any skooma because of the horrible things her parents had to say about dark elves, he got pretty mad and tried to use violence to get his skooma and this only confirmed her fears, she ran, outnumbered by bandits and curiosity caught up with the cat, she had a whole crate of skooma that she didn't want to give them, so she drank from one tiny bottle of skooma and became hooked, the whole crate was gone and she felt like she was walking on the moon for nearly 3 months, the caravan excommunicated her, those bandits were now trying to kill her and the thalmor became aware of her activities, so she made a run for Skyrim and was arrested at the border. When approaching Hadvar and the Captain she asked *"aKKawAgGa PagABLaH?!?"* and they were understandably confused, they both agreed that sending her to the block was probably a good idea. Alduin attacked, she escaped with Ralof. When they both got to Riverwood; Gerdur told her to talk to the Jarl of Whiterun, she accidentally travelled to Windhelm instead, where she was greeted by the hypocrite Suvaris Atheron, who asked her "do you hate the Dark Elves?" The answer was obvious, she just aggressively stared at her for ten minutes, her crazy, bloodshot, yellow eyes turning black as they were engfed by her expanding pupils, growling deeply, rearing her fangs, ears folded back as far as possible. Suvaris still demanded an answer, but as she raised her voice; the khajiit jumped her and scratched her to death in front of everyone. She was sent to prison, being falsely accused for the recent spate of gruesome murders in Windhelm, as the wounds she gave Suvaris were very much like the ones found on the other victims, except these murders had already happened before she arrived, although she was soon released on probation when those Stormcloaks realized she helped Ralof escape execution, she wasn't allowed to leave the city walls, had to sleep on the cold streets and she was ostracized by almost everyone in Windhelm because of the murder, but she was allowed to fight for the Stormcloaks, and she did that well. Even though Galmar hated her; she really liked him because of his furry bear hat, so she did her best to impress him

He seems like a cool dude. Meanwhile, my Nord character (who I've so graciously named Israk) had quite a bit of bad luck; poor girl was coming back from adventuring from Cyrodiil for a year trying to learn about her however-many-greats-grandma (in this case, the hero of the Oblivion Crisis), but as she was coming back, she walked right into the ambush that happened before the beginning of the game and was mistaken as a Stormcloak, so they arrested her anyway. And as her head was on the block, she was just like, "Goodbye weird world and hello Sovngarde I guess." before Alduin showed up. Keep in mind, while she was in Cyrodiil, she had virtually no idea what the hell was going on in Skyrim, so once she came back she was surprised as fuck. But then later on she was excited to find out she was the Dragonborn. As for my Khajiit character, Ma'ahni, poor little thing was in Skyrim looking for crypts to explore and new weapons to use, but then was caught and racially profiled by a soldier, which led to her getting put onto that cart. Then when *she* found out she was Dragonborn, she got both surprised and incredibly curious (in a good way) and did everything she could to research just what the Dragonborn was and did. I need to draw them both again, lol.
