What's funny is that whole thing was just a rumor There was a championship and a headmaster brought goggles as a joke Health and safety never got involved There was schools that banned it feeling that it could be weapons, or harmful to kids with nut allergies (the latter being irrelevant since they wouldn't have any effect) In rewatching this after so many years I did some research since I'd never even heard of conkers haha

"Conkers" is an English playground game which involves tying horse chestnuts (Conkers) to string, and take turns hitting each other's conker. If a player's conker breaks from hitting or being hit, they lose. I used to play it myself, and I made my conkers stronger by soaking them in vinegar ^_^

@ShyGuy236 conkers is a british originated game where the players find 'conkers' from under the conker tree (kinda like nuts, only they can smash to bits ;D) and swing them at each other. The person with the conker that lasts the most smashes wins. Don't rely on me though, I'm australian, and i've never palyed it...
