Bugatti may not even do e-fuels. Bespoke manufacturers selling below 1000 cars a year are exempt from emissions regulations pass 2035. Porsche needs it due to their high production numbers.

Amazing as it gets considering some people can't do 30 in a rain shower. But... While I love records like this, I prefer a record set on an actual road. Do it in the wild and earn it properly. Hennessy does it this way and to me, that's worth more even if it is not 282 mph. Amazing job, now do it on a real road to prove it.

Curious whether Tourbillon will go for a high top speed. Hybrid dependant so it would need to be quick to get there. Can it do two runs on a tank and charge its own battery?

Yeah it’ll be interesting if the hybrid system is able to sustain that kind of necessary output for the 30-45 seconds that is required on the straightaway. The Tourbillon is supposed to have a 24kwh battery, but of course that is equivalent to only about 3/4 of a gallon of petrol. The Chiron uses about 1.4 gallons per minute at Vmax so it might just have enough based on that napkin calculation.

Bugatti left the Volkswagen Group in 2021 so they don't have permission to use it. This track isn't bad, 2.4 long mile straight road is still good but yeah not as good as the 5.4 straight mile road they used before

an official record is the average speed in BOTH directions on the same track on the same day ! that VW testtrack only alows 1 direction bugFatti NEVER had any official record and if they wanna claim anything, they should allow Koenigsegg, Hennessy and others to drive there also !

Maybe use your brain for a second. VW Group wouldn't let anyone test on their track unless they owned them apart from McLaren which was a one off. Hennessey did it in 1 direction and still had the record for no roof production car, and it was literally verified from a verification company
