I actually have and have played a LOT of these games. The GBA library was incredible, and is full of hidden, obscure, and overlooked gems. BTW there IS a better version of SF Alpha 3 for on the go. Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max for the PSP. It not only doesn't cut anything from the home or arcade versions, it ADDS a TON of things, like characters and a TON of new modes. :)

I think I have literally all of these. I love this era of game design so much- This and the ds were a seemingly golden era of risk-taking inventiveness, wacky gimmicks and generous use of great art. I remember there was a period of time where if you didn’t mind unboxed cartridges, the market was an absolute haven for even the most poverty-stricken collectors. That said, buyers should always check the list of games that still used batteries to store saves- replacing these is a ball ache. It’s great to see someone else still holding a candle for sigma star saga (which even has multiple endings), cima and drill dozer. There are two boktai sequels on the gba (and a meh one on the ds) that are also very much worth your time, and have complete fan translations compatible with rom carts. A gba micro style classic console would surely sell like hot cakes, but getting the rights for most of these releases would probably be impossible.

To be honest Sigma Star Saga is an impressive game for the GBA mainly because WayForward managed to cram so much content in an 8mb cartridge alongside high quality graphics and sound instead of 16mb Between Shantae GBC and Sigma Star Saga, a GBA Shantae sequel was planned but due to lack of interest from publishers, it was scrapped. it was going to have over 20 hours of content like Sigma Star Saga. Oh and you forgot Scurge Hive, Scurge Hive is also avaiable for DS which is prettg much identical. I consider Scurge Hive to be the Shantae of the GBA, an unique and high quality game that came out late in the lifecycle and it uses a 16mb cartridge

1:09 FINALLY!!!! After all these years someone is giving the CT Special Forces series on the GBA some recognition. Every time I have mentioned it to people they had no idea it existed. The only time one person had even heard the name was because of the PS1 game. I couldn't even get the third game in the series in the US. I had to import it from Canada. Any one looking for a good, underrated game series to emulate would be smart to try them.

One game I imagine isn’t well known that deserves attention is Masters Of The Universe He-Man: Power Of Greyskull. And heck, it even has Cam Clarke’s voice calling out, “By the power of Greyskull! I HAVE THE POWER!!!”

I have been looking for an old game for the GBA for years now. It was a game in which you would control little aliens/monsters from a top down view. The little monsters/aliens would transfer their consciousness to other ones in different parts of the level and solve puzzles until you got them all together or a specific # of them to pass the level or area and progress to the other part. In some sections you would have as if it was poop monsters and the dynamic was the same, the only difference was you would flush them down a “toilet” and you would need a specific number of them to pass. If you somehow got any of them hurt/killed you could not advance. Anybody remember the name or know about this game?

I recommend you try kururin. It has an English translation too. It's a really cool Japanese game that can't really be called a platformer or put into a very good genre. You are in a long spaceship that is shaped like a stick. It's kind of like a helicopter. It slowly spins around a center axis and you have to navigate it through puzzles
