After Virtua Fighter, DOA is my 2nd favorite 3D fighting game franchise! I never liked Tekken (even if i got a soft spot for Tekken 2), WAY TOO MUCH fireworks, stupid characters and horrible "story" and music. What we need is VF X DOA. It already worked in DOA5/U/LR!

So funny… I love all of the series mentioned here; *Virtua Fighter, Dead or Alive, and Tekken* . These are ALL fantastic games. If these guys are just professional rivals, that’s one thing, but they really seem to dislike one another and each other’s gaming series. How can these guys, who have made some of the greatest games in history, have so much vitriol against one another?

Dead Or Alive is criminally underrated and always has been in my book. It's got the best, most in-depth fighting system (Button mashers and special move spammers need not apply!) and is so much more than "That game with jiggly boobs.". The characters, story and interactive stages are awesome and blow the competition out of the water. I really wish it got more credit. I feel like so many people are missing out on amazing games. As for all the whining about paying for costumes and hair dye, if you don't want it, DON'T BUY IT! It's such a stupid argument. It's not important to game play, it's simply cosmetic. So if you don't agree with paying for it, don't!

Been fans of both but up until dead or alive 5 when they started charging for costumes and haven’t really been into tekken since tag tournament and part 4 changing the controller scheme had me looking to other games.

I always felt that DOA had really shallow gameplay but it would catch my interest for a short time once in a while. The female characters were okay, but the super floaty breast physics and identical facial features kind of made it not that interesting.

As a Doa fan since PS1 (block buster days) The soul and charm is soulless ever since Tomonobu left Tecmo. Doa5 has a peaceful Kasumi clone as a boss who hates hurting characters (phase4) and in Doa6 a boss who is a confused fighter (lost his memories)who thirst for power. To think Christie use to be a villain in Doa3-4 I miss you Itagaki-san 💔
