Love your reactions here. Justice done. If you want to understand how much Justice is done take the time to look at Whitneys live performances of these songs in their prime era. Morissette did major justice! I Saw a video I think it was Shelea Frazier with Foster (another incredible vocalist) and "Run to You" was in there with the medley but I can't remember if it was a Foster and Friends concert or another event. Foster and Friends is a Variety show with quite a few performances so maybe it's just a timing thing that the medley is arranged with just 2.

This Day 2 performances are, I think, the best performances in the concert series, they are more smooth and polished. But not to take away the other days, of course, they're all excellent, we know Mori, every time she performs she gives it her best and she doesn't settle for mediocrity or less. These are big songs to sing, and big voice of Whitney to fill in. You're right, Topher, if a singer wants to do the Whitney version rather than the Dolly Parton version of "I Will Always Love You", she has got to have the vocal ability not only for smoothness but for power and resonance. Mori has all these, but in addition, as you pointed out, she knows how to do dynamics, the push and pull, the holding back and letting all out and holding back again, switching flawlessly between her registers, unlike other singers who just lets it all out with all the big belts. The result is an absolutely captivating and stunning performance, smooth as silk and powerful and fierce as a phoenix! 🥰
