Just bought this and mine did not turn on at all, it's dead, and I tried the USB on both inputs. Tried connecting to my laptop as we as directly to an outlet. Nothing.

Thanks for this! I was looking for a great cooling pad for my new Acer Predator Neo. I ordinally got an Insignia (which is trying its best but even the reviews are letting me know it's gonna die in less than a month). After this review, I know this next purchase will be a good one.
