Before everyone had a cell phone, I got lost in Chicago late at night. It was a group of Latin Kings who gave me directions out of the neighborhood I'd accidentally wandered into. I remember overhearing them discussing amongst themselves the safest route for me to take. They genuinely seemed to be concerned for my safety. With that being said, I believe most people are good at heart, and acts of kindness from unexpected sources are not as rare as most believe.
