So, would you say that the backpack straps are more like a 90% lean ground beefy, while the shoulder briefcase strap is more like 80% lean with that beefy 20% fat?

Hey Norman - both of these are solid packs, so it really comes down to you, your travel style and which aesthetic you prefer. Finding which type of internal organization and quick-access pockets suit your use case will also help you decide. Some differences between these two packs are the laptop compartments and the main compartments due to the pocket configurations, but the overall capacity is pretty similar between these two packs. Yeah good one, aer for styling I guess but this side access is looks sooo practical and easy to get to... this in black is passable for nearly any work/formal environment I think..

Good, high quality product. Not particularly room inside, however. I don't see how you can keep clothes in it, if you have paperwork and electronic gear taking up space.

you ordered the "global briefcase" which is different from the "global 3 day briefcase" - topo designs used to have three different briefcase items that they sold and they eliminated the "3 day" one. the global briefcase is still a great bag but it is slightly smaller
