Its guys like you that made America great. You know guys who can look at a problem make some drawings on the shop floor with soapstone and build something. I find it fascinating. I went to a rural school in western Fresno County. My dad was a farm worker, i loved to watch him work but he never wanted me to follow in his footsteps. I used to go and watch the guys i the welding shop fix machinery, hang around the parts store and listen to the stories. In high school i was a college prep kid but i took woodshop and AG welding it was satisfying to work with my hands. Anyway went to college graduated, worked in law enforcement and then retired but i always loved that time in the 1950's watching those welders and self trained mechanics figuring out problems and then fixing them. Now i am in my 70's, thanks for bringing back those memories and i appreciate a man who is carrying on.
