So if the writer for Fast and Furious writes that a character jump out a car, which is something done a million times, and there is a freak accident and the stuntman dies, it's the writers fault? Seriously, that's the logic that Vince Russo killed Owen Hart. It's stupid logic, the descend to ring had been done a thousand times by many different wrestlers, how the hell is it the writers fault that there was a freak accident with the safety or technical aspect of the show? Nah, Bischoff , Dixie and Eric killed TNA, and it was Dixie who made Spike stop wanting TNA
Roddy was incredible here. It seemed real. I think he meant it.

Russo has said that this was a 100 percent shoot Russo didn’t know Piper was there and Piper didn’t know russo was in the building this was organic on the fly stuff none of this was scripted

I love how Russo pretends to be a tough guy when he has guys holding him back. Until they came down, he would've called him Mr. Piper if asked.
@jimjohnston57193 жыл бұрын
And you notice the Harris Brothers walked by Roddy, didn't touch him, one says hello, the other apologizes for doing what they gotta do, and they go "restrain" Russo. Even Russo's "Bodyguards" at the time had more respect for Piper than they had for him.

And to me, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque was the one who built his rise off Owen's fall. That's why I've total contempt for Paul. You don't use another man's death to build a career path for yourself...at all.
@andrewkennedy-reagan32896 жыл бұрын
No they don't. That's like saying the commissioner of baseball is personally responsible for the fan who fell off the balcony reaching for a foul ball. In reality Owen is responsible for his death. He was told to not flap his arms and legs as he was repelling down. Owen thought he could do it so despite being told not to Owen went ahead and flopped around while repelling causing the harness to disengage. It it funny how all the morons dream up conspiracies involving only on-camera characters that fans see on TV.

This was way ahead of it's time. Russo knew exactly how to evolve the wrestling business after Attitude Era despite what the marks would think. The original idea with a lot of the TNA PPVs was to have a basic structure but let the talent improvise on the spot. It would make segments like this feel 100% real because it was all going to be a shoot. Unfortunately that idea died right here but I would love to see this idea brought back because controversy creates cash. 💸
@homieprophet6963 жыл бұрын
@Kaynen Vasquez totally agree the improvise on the fly stuff was where wrestling needed to go this stuff was evolving to the next level and the fact that the reactions were 100% real made it all the better although it was chaotic this was imo the best show nobody ever saw and sadly wrestling bubble people were afraid to take this direction
@SaviorAssassin3 жыл бұрын
@@homieprophet696 What do you mean it needs a new direction? What exactly do you think is best for the wrestling business?
@woobgamer52102 жыл бұрын
except, this thing was entirely a shoot controlled, improvised, and thought of by Piper. And he was right, TNA spun out of control during the Russo era. And it didn't get better during the Hogan era either. Roddy was wrong about one thing, TNA wouldn't die because of Russo, it nearly died because of Hogan. But Russo sure wrote a lot of garbage and made a lot of stupid stipulations
