Edit : @02:14, S is define wrong. Correct definition should be S : y belongs to C, C subset of Y. Sorry for the mistake.

I think there is an error in the part of "if P, then Q, else S" S y \in C, C \included Y... but you wrote S y \in B, B \included Y... In the book comes as I mentioned :)

At about 11:44 you have the rows of the fuzzy logic set as being percentage chance. I definitely understand that this is just an example though in real life, if there should only be one resistance for a temperature would each row have the sum of percentages sum to 1? So for example the first row might be something like [0, .1, .4, .1, .4] instead as 0 + .1 + .4 + .1 + .4 = 1.

Yes you are right! The sum should be equal to 1 and you can consider the values are [0, 0.1, 0.4, 0.1, 0.4]. I had not taken that into consideration when I wrote it because it was just a sample to show how implication works in case of fuzzy logic.

What if we have more than 2 universe ?
@Topperly2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kritika, Your doubt is a valid one, but I'm sorry to say that I also do not know the answer now. But here's what I think. When we are using "If, then' statements, it can generally account only to maximum 2 universes, right? I mean, let's take a general statement like 'IF project_funding is not enough THEN risk is high', here there are only two universes possible - one universe about project_funding and other universe about risk. Another possible statement is 'IF project_funding is not enough THEN chance of students strike is high', here also there are only two universes possible - one universe about project_funding and other universe about chance of students strike. As you can see, essentially we are only dealing with 2 universes at a time even though there are many universes available. The above is just my thought and may be wrong, but let's keep this thread here so may be someone else can give a better reply to your answer :)
