Toppik has been such a huge game changer for me, allowing me to go about my life pretending that I have no hair loss issues.
Despite how confident I may appear, I'm so utterly terrified to show my real hair without fibers. I've recently had a few requests from some of you lovely people, and you know what, I think it's about damn time I let go of my insecurity. So, here goes!

I love how transparent you are in your videos. I’m not very knowledgeable about women’s hair loss, but if it is like men’s hair loss, then it is really scary and a sensitive topic. So to put yourself out there and be vulnerable on camera is very courageous. -DJ

You’re such an inspiration. Seeing you so confident about your hair loss makes me so emotional. I’m still so ashamed about mine. It makes me feel less like a woman. I know that’s silly and not true but i guess it’s just how we all feel at some point about our hair loss. But seeing you and how beautiful you are really inspires me. I really do love you.

Aw thank you so much for the love! I'm trying my best to show you guys that it doesn't have to bring you down, and that we'll all have our days but it's how we rise from those days that matter. Hair loss 100% effects a womans sense of femininity/sexuality, so it's not at all silly - what you feel is natural and normal. But you just need to find other things about yourself that you love, because you have so much more to offer the world.

I've been using Topic for about 13 years. I have no problem with puffer attachment, but I did get one that didn't work and had to be replaced. I use Topic on the days when I do not need to wear my halo or my topper. I wore full wigs for many years, but then my hair grew back, but it is much much thinner. Products like Topic, halos and toppers have been a real boost in getting my self-esteem back. I don't feel like a new woman, I feel like myself again and that is an incredible feeling. Don't give up ladies, over 50% of all women in the US have some sort of hair thinning or difficulties. You are not alone. Best.....

I’m 26 (27 in June) and have had thin hair + bald spots since I was 14! I don’t know why I never tried Toppik before, I think I was ashamed because I thought it was for old people, but I’m so happy from the last couple of months I’ve been using it and my confidence sky rocketed! I still don’t know how to tell my husband I’m using this product I’m a little embarrassed :(

Oh my, don't be embarrassed! People wear makeup, have lip injections, wear extensions, have fake eyelashes, wear spanx, all to make themselves feel/look better, you have NOTHING to be embarrassed about. If someone can use some eyebrow powder to fill their brows, then you're doing no different!

Thank you for your video. I recently bought this product in Black and I am really struggling with not getting this everywhere. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it gets all over my forehead and in the sink. I even used the Toppik setting spray to try and get it to stay put. Did you experience that at first when you started using it? I won't give up just yet! Also, you are gorgeous!
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 8 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! And, I wonder if that's a defective one, I've never experienced that. What exactly is happening? When you shake it on to the thin areas is too much coming out? It should gently cover the area, but yes, sometimes a little can fall into the sink or the counter top. If the area you're concealing is close to your forehead you may want to opt for a root touch up powder, which gives more control!

Thank you so much for all the love Dehlia!! It really depends how often you use it, and how much you're applying each time. As you can see with my thinning, I can get away with just using a little on the areas That show the most. Based on my usage of 2-3 times per week, a bottle lasts about 5 months. I try to limit the amount of times I use any products on the scalp, as the scalp likes to be free.

Thank you so so much for this video. I have some questions: do you use TOPPIK every day? Doesn't it make you lose more hair? I had a hair transplant 3 months ago so I'm not thinking of using TOPPIK right now, but is very good to know for the future. However, wouldn't you recommend to have a hair transplant better than using TOPPIK? Thank you so much!
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 5 жыл бұрын
I use fibers every day/every other day, as long as you wash consistently with good products, I don't find that it adds to hair loss. I cannot comment on hair transplants much, research consistently suggests mixed results for women with eventual loss of the hair at some point. For men, it seems to have better results.

I have two questions. The only products in this demonstration are dry shampoo and Toppik, right? I have trouble paying attention, so maybe there were steps I missed. But it sounds like the only two steps are dry shampoo and then Toppik. My other question is about the theory of clogging hair follicles. I didn't think that people lost hair because of clogged follicles. I thought they lost hair because of DHT. If you were pulling your hair into a tight hairstyle, that could give you traction alopecia. But it seems like Toppik fibers that are just resting on the scalp would be harmless and not cause any exacerbation of the person's hair loss.

I've been using Toppik every once in a while, and I find that it works well (although I might be using the wrong colour, brown is the wrong shade and dark brown is a little too dark for my roots). I've just started using Rogaine for women, do you find that you can use both products together? You mentioned that Toppik can block the follicle, and since Rogaine essentially tries to re-grow it, I think that Toppik might counteract the other product.
@googlyeyes9428
@googlyeyes9428 Жыл бұрын
I think you can use it together. I don't know how noticeable is you hair loss, but I would not use it on days I can wear my hair in ponytail or bun. Just be sure to not to use Toppik immediately after administering Rogaine as minoxidil needs to sit on your skin about 4 hours

HI Lylah kay, am loosing so much of hair day by day(diffuse hair loss). I have been calm for one year that my hair fall will be okay on its own but it's not. So I did my blood test and they told DHEA is less and testosterone less, Ferritin(Iron binding capacity) is 44 and that is normal. What do you think about these reports? Are they causing hair loss? Any ideas please let me know, and any other blood tests to confirm whether it is androgenetic alopecia or not? Please help me, Kay.
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 5 жыл бұрын
Hey, I am not a doctor and therefore cannot confirm if those numbers are normal or not, if you want a second opinion, you can always visit another doctor or do some research online. I recently did a video that covers all of the tests one should do if they suffer from severe hair loss for more than 2 years, where lifestyle and diet changes didn't help. You may want to check that video out.

Hi, me again :) So I have used Toppik as well as another similar product (Looky, I think it's called) and while it does sort of work, I find it a) makes my head itchier and b) can sometimes sort of flake off. Have you found either of these issues? Thanks xo
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 5 жыл бұрын
Hey! So I haven't found any to irritate my scalp which is interesting as my scalp is pretty sensitive. But so far I do like Boost N Blend the most, its more natural and less abrasive in general. The fibers move around a bit more which requires another application the next day, but I'm fine with that as the movement means the fibers are clogging my follicle.

Nope! I wash my hair once a week (shhhhh), it's actually better to wash the hair once a week, especially if hair is thinning. I use fibers maybe 3 times a week, and wash it once a week, no problems and I've been doing this for years!!

No problem :) I just put minoxidil on top, and nope no spray to hold the fibers, they tend to stay as long as my scalp isn't too oily. If it's oily dry shampoo seems to help!

You mentioned that the product can clog hair follicles. Why then, do you still use it? Is there a way to prevent that from happening?
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 5 жыл бұрын
I use it because I really feel that I have no choice, despite that. It's something that works well, is easy, and doesn't cause irritation on my scalp (like fake hair). So I just use it sparingly and thoroughly wash my hair consistently. I also choose to use other brands, Toppik is quite irritating, but Boost N Blend and other natural brands don't clog the follicle as much.

Have you heard of Irestore laser? I'm planning on trying. It's a lighter helmet that supposed to make your hair grow back and thicker and healthy. I have seen many positive reviews that it works and am thinking of getting it on a payment plan. Until then I am stopping by Walgreens to get TOPPIK because of your review.
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 5 жыл бұрын
I've tried the hairmax comb, after doing clinic sessions of laser (which is a helmet), I also did scalp cleanses, minoxidil, vivisal, diet management, lifestyle changes, etc., which combined all helped. Though I personally don't care for minoxodil or toppik anymore, I do find a combination of things help with hair loss. But the most important thing is to get yourself tested to rule out any major causes.

Hey girlfriend loving those brows. Are they microbladed or natural? Currently hating my brows at the moment.
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Savi, happy 2018! Thanks, my brows are my pride and joy lol, they're natural, but I do fill them in with a few brow products. One day, I'll have the courage to do a brow tutorial! As for microblading I know a few who have had it done and they seem pretty happy.

curious how does this last in wind or rain. and how does it work when sweating
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 6 жыл бұрын
I've tried a lot of hair fibers, not just Toppik, and they all hold up perfectly fine in the wind. Now, rain, that's another story - if you're scalp actually gets wet then the fibers will clump together and may even wash out into the hair strand. In terms of sweating, I'd say that it should hold up for the most part. But if you sweat a lot on your scalp then the fibers may need to be re-applied a little the next time you style.

As an African American woman who cannot use perm. Can I use oil with this product after I apply it?
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Tanya, good question! I'm familiar with African American hair, and this would be my advice: Put your hair oil on first, try to use as little as possible on the scalp and roots. Let the oil sit for a bit, so that there is little to no residue on the scalp, and then go ahead and add some toppik to the root area. If you notice that the Toppik is getting clumpy because of the hair oils, try using some dry shampoo before putting on the toppik. Best of luck!

Can I wash my hair after adding toppik hair building fibers?
@Kaesia
@Kaesia 6 жыл бұрын
Hey, not sure what you mean? You would usually put the fibers on before going out, so after having styled/washed your hair. If you wash your hair daily, you can of course wash you hair with the fibers in, they'll simply wash out. If you wash your hair every few days, same thing. I'm not sure I understand your question, so let me know, if not!

I used Revivogen or Klorane! Thanks for connecting and commenting, so great to hear from other young women dealing with this. I can't imagine how tough it must have been to experience this at 12, mine started at 17 and I feel like that was hard enough. But, this only makes us stronger :)
