I'm not going to give you crap for being young and not knowing Josh Gibson, but I would say read about him. If baseball was integrated he would be right up there in the modern lexicon of well known greats. His all time batting average is higher than Ty Cobb, making him the absolute best hitter EVER to play baseball. That is so sweet.

I did all my research in him. He was a great man. He has the best story coming from the stands to play in the game. Best baseball player of all time.

They have called Josh Gibson one of the greatest baseball players to never play in the majors. Of the Negro Leagues, he was considered the Babe Ruth of the league. He was the 2nd player of the Negro Leagues to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame too. The year he died was when they allowed African Americans to play, that was the year Jackie Robinson joined the MLB. 1945 is when they started changing the policies that allowed it. I wish Josh Gibson would have been in the MLB, that guy is one of the bests. That was an amazing hit btw.
