My husband and I actually invented this about 20 years ago. Our patent ran out. We didn't have the resources to carry it forward at that time. The rail is exactly as we had it and so is the handle and concept. We are so happy to see this actually happening even though it couldn't happen for us. We invented it because my mother in law who just passed away before we did this had to sell her house because she couldn't use her stairs and going into one of the stair 'chairs' was out of the question as it made her feel 'helpless'. My dad also had balance issues on the stairs. So we did this. We put a lot of money and love into the project but raising a young family and starting a farm it was a no go, we just couldn't keep going. So happy to see it...

Man, that's a shame you couldn't keep making money from it. But, it's good that's it's being used out there in the world.

Are you aware of any companies that will set this up in America? From what I can tell, this is only available in Europe.

Wish this was available in Australia. I have a town house and due to have a hip replacement, so would find this most helpful.

WHY IS THIS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE USA!! I would gladly pay someone to install it if it could be sent here.

Would this be any good for someone with left side paralysis due to a stroke? Can it be installed around a curve / fan staircase?

It’s good to have solutions, however if someone is having difficulty walking upstairs, maybe they would have difficulty with upper body strength. The worst case scenario is falling in the stairwell and there is no one to help. It might be easier to move to a place without stairs.

Very good. I thought it was a motorised lift like zombies. Therapeutic and well thought out
