The serving motion looks NOTHING like that of Pete Sampras…. What a shame. They did capture the Federer serve correctly though! That one looks pretty good

Yes, I quite often hit aces aiming for the left corner of service box. Didn't try it with the right corner though :D

i cannot for the life of me position the serve. any pointers ? and on top spin 4 i always used the advanced serving on there and still remember the controls which is the L3 and R3 but its not positioning the serve correctly.

Everything off. I mostly play with precise shots - also called control shots - because they are very effective when hit with perfect timing - precise as their name and also powerful enough to hit winners.

What’s interesting about this game is they know nothing about players. Sampras attributes like his forehand they made up. The only thing they got right was his serve and volley. Federer in 01, 07 and in 08 didn’t got toe to toe with Sampras forehand. He even out hit Federer on the wing in those exhibitions.

Always observe the ball. Listen to it's bouncing. It's the first thing you need to pay attention to in order to find perfect timing. When ball lands very close to your player be prepared to hit it just right after the bounce. When ball is heading to your direction very slow you have two options - wait for it or move forward and try to hit your shot with much more pace. Ideally the ball should be on the height of your racket in order to hit it perfect. So always track the movement of the ball and release your shot button just before it make contact with your racket.

If you aim just left or right placement of the ball won't be that deep. You need to hold left analog stick between up and right or up and left to aim for the corners. Also you need to hit your shots with good or perfect timing because good timing also gives you better placement of the ball.

Sampras is obviously the easiest op in this game to beat with slow surface. The game favors only power player. Try go against sharapova legend difficulty and you'll see

I played with Sharapova. She's very op in terms of stats. Propably very hard to play against her online - especially when good player choose her. As a bot still very beatable.

@@OnlineFederer beatable, but not with control shots. Control shots and movements are nerf. AI and stat wise isn't as balaced as top spin 4. No reward for defensive players

You're right that control shots are way weaker here than in Top Spin 4. You're also right about the movement but I already beat Sharapova on Legend difficulty using mostly control shots. Of course during an online match it could be a different story and maybe it is impossible to win using only controls against her.

@@OnlineFederer wouldn't recommend to go online before they patch it. Also they need to fix serve sensitivity for pc xbox controller lol. Almost impossible to serve precisely without using keyboard

100% sure but legend is not that challenging here. In career mode at the beginning it is way harder when your player has low stats.
