Your comment is just bs, TS4 had two modes harder and more unpredictable than the rest of the modes, "very hard" (still manageable if you're somewhat of a veteran) and then there's the "expert" mode (requires extreme skill and anticipation) which will show you how vicious and smart the cpu can be. Try playing the weakest player in TS4 in exhibition mode, let's say someone like Tomic, he'll destroy you with his crazy unpredictable serves. The cpu is also very capable of hitting incredible drop shots as well as wrong foot slices along with better approach shots. And if you've actually tried completing the career mode in either "very hard" or "expert" mode, the cpu will make sure to punish you, grand slam & masters become a massive hurdle, you'll lose multiple finals/semi-finals before you win your first slam.

@@GoneBoi99 Why do you just assume I didn't know all that? I had Top Spin 4 and I know how the AI behaves on the highest difficulties. I just wanted to express how much I liked the fact the AI can now serve at high speeds, something that in TS 4 they didn't do not even in expert mode. Btw, most players were pretty easy to beat in expert except Djokovic, Nadal and, the trickiest of all, Murray, I hated him. Oh and there's legend mode in 2K25, a step up from expert

@@semu8030 All the more reason to refute your earlier comment, if you've played the game, then you should already know that at expert mode, all of the players use different serves, some use their signature serves while others improvise, Nadal uses slice serves, Federer uses flat as well as slice, Roddick uses all of the three serves. I've seen more than enough of 2K25 to tell that they're using the exact same core gameplay mechanics from TS4, even the animations are unchanged with a few new added, the only exception is, they shortened the rallies, you're bound to miss a perfect passing shot or a "forced" unforced error because of the stamina bar being depleted faster compared to TS4. And I'm not complaining about all this (I loved TS4's gameplay), it's just that guys like you believe that they made some kind of massive change to the AI and stuff, which they actually did not.

Good gameplay video. You can see when the ball is hit at the right time and the bar is green, it's a powerful swing and almost always a winner. Looks like it's not just hitting green on your strokes but also at what point you attack the ball just like real tennis.

Actually it seems to depend on the difficulty. I've seen other videos where the player hits good and perfect sync shots and they aren't fast. It appears to me that in the lowest difficulties (up to normal) the ball is intended to be slower to make it easier for the player to reach it, something silly if you ask me but it's what I've noticed

I mean, one thing is that the AI hits slow (I recall Virtua Tennis and older TP games to do that) but the player power wasn't changed, that makes it similar to Tennis World Tour 2. I've seen expert difficulty game play and it was far slower than this. It was on clay though. That would explain it apart from the fact that the devs said court surfaces have no effect on the game.

I like the gameplay I've seen and I imagine the player list will grow over time. At the moment the only thing that bothers me a little is the animation of the balls when they go to the net, I mean they look too elastic and the ball goes back a lot, when a tennis ball generally goes to the net it usually remains more static.
