Ooo I just learned about the symbolism in historic Hermit cards! In the Minchiate deck you have, that is depicting "Father Time" which was a precursor to The Hermit. The crutches are to indicate advanced age, the hour glass the passing of time, and the stag with a large set of antlers (which regrow larger and more majestic every year) also indicates wisdom and old age.

Oooh okay! Thank you! I’ve asked about this in two videos and you were the only one to respond. I’m so glad you popped by! 🥰I’ve been very curious about that deer. I do like to see an element of time in the Hermit cars. Maybe that’s why I’ve been so drawn to the card. Although I really wish the man didn’t look almost ill, poor thing 😅.
