Just want to say, this deck looked fun enough to get me to try Yugioh, as someone who's only done Magic in the past. Love the deck! Playing it in MasterDuel, where there's... quirks. Kitkallos is legal! ...Sulliek is at one! Merrli at 0! Scheiren at 2! Tearlaments Kashtira at 1! ...Toadally Awesome at 0. The, uh, experience is slightly different than what you have. Given that I had four slots free from the giant Tearlaments Kashtira and Sulliek-shaped holes in the deck, I slotted in two Big Welcome Labrynths, as well as Lovely and Lady Labrynth. That package is unquestionably one of the best additions to the list I could have made. A large chunk of the list is keeping your Kashtira in circulation to get your 3 cards, since you don't have redundancies; and Big Welcome bouncing Kashtira, summoning Lovely, and putting out a random destroy out is a HUGE tempo swing. Daruma Karma Cannon is also flat-out insane against all the random "unaffected by card effects" things I've seen. Thank you for advocating it at 3! Saw a lot of lists putting it in as a one-of, and they're out of their minds. I've, uh, lost a LOT of games, but for many of them, I was able to tell that it was definitely a skill issue; the deck absolutely had the tools to win. I need to remember Zeus exists as an out, for instance, if I build Opabinia or Anomalocaris while stalling for a turn. Can't reliably build my level 4 Xyz summon (using Cairngorgon since I randomly opened it and it allows any level 4 links; it doesn't, uh, show up much, and it's not like I can use Bahamut Shark to grab Toadally Awesome). The only deck thus far that I'm utterly at a loss for picking apart if I'm on turn 2 is Centurion. I've so far written the match off as "The price of consistency in other games", but if you have advice on how to deal with a field of Baronne de Fleur, Red Supernova Dragon, and Centur-Ion Legatia when I'm on the draw without being able to interrupt the setup with handtraps, I would really appreciate learning about it!

Congrats on winning and taking down YCS champs! I love the updates to the list, especially the laundry trap technology, never thought about how great it is for chain blocking. I took your list to locals a few weeks and I literally agree with every change you made. Grief and rollback were always broken when opened so bumping them up makes sense. Fiend Comedian might be unpredictable but it’s SOOOO much fun to mill half your deck or banish all your opponents grind game and witch’s strike is such an MVP against Voiceless, especially if you can foolish rollback or strike in response to a negate ;) Didn’t have a second Kaleido at the time so ran Redoer instead and he definitely came up more for me than borgblocker even though he’s also a great bridge into sprind.

Can I suggest a switch out in the side to maybe test. Ultimate slayer and Bucephalus over superpoly and gloemn. This would maybe be worth testing as less commitment card and can out links very efficiently+ you get draw and a free dark in gy. Otherwise very cool deck glad to see it did so well.

I've been on a list playing 3 phantazmay, 3 crow, 3 meister. The goal is that if you go second, you can hand trap and next turn you have a setup for reinoheart to go into bahamut shark. It's been doing really well, and often it can play like a water control deck. Just haven't been able to bring it to any events :/

I play the paleo tear deck a little bit different. I dont play vivid tail , grief and metanoise , therefore i Play big Welcome+ 1 lady and 1 lovely. This engine is amazing. If you got big Welcome in grave and kaleido on field ,its a bounce. Also big welcome on field is a free pop with lovely+ a bounce of maybe tear kash. For the extra deck, i dont Play downer, i:p, s:p, blocker, only one kaleido instead i put muckcracker , zealentis, the marincesse thing, the paleo link and abomination in Muckcracker can discard stuff for eff and can specal kaleido or lovely back, just broken. The zealentis Line can banish all your opennents monsters, great against branded and every other thing (First daruma, than zealentis gg). If you end with 2 paleos on field, it will come up. The abomination is for the muckcracker lock ,or just to pop. D barrier in Side is also nutzz.

What do you think about cards like "Ret-TIme Reviver" , "Mana Dragon Zirnitron", "Lost Wind," and "Redeemable Jar"? Are there any weird out-of-engine cards you can tell me about that you decided weren't "good enough" for the deck?

Ret time and lost wind are the only cards there I've tinkered with and just didn't make the cut. Ret time especially with all the link monsters out and about isn't good enough. A weird tech I've tried in the past was back up team. It's another card that didn't make the cut but plays a similar role to vivid tail a little bit.

Did Cambroraster come up? to send an opponents spell/trap or send your own set rollback/sulliek and activate marella from deck in order to extend? I found that card very useful

I don't like Super Poly against Voiceless anymore because they just add Skull Guardian back with the new spell and simply summon him again. I think you're much better off running Forbidden Droplet in that slot.

I tested magical spring. One of its main issues is that, unlike phantazmay, it is a blank mill which isn't great. It's mostly a card for voiceless. But more times than not it's probably just getting negated by skull guardian which also isn't great. I liked it in theory but not as much in practice. I've also tested fiend comedian a fair bit. It's ok... but I don't think it finds a spot in the main or side at this very moment.

I didn't play against any shifter decks at the event as seen in my round report. The only deck that was maybe on it was tenpai and he didn't see it if he was playing it. Shifter is tough to deal with but you do have some good traps like dinomischus and daruma that give you a fighting chance.
