Is there a way to add the mean to the violin plot?

does it make sense to always use trimmed violin plot or should I show the full distribution?

I would always show the full violin plot with a point. There is the option to select a point or truncated violin plot in the lastest version of Prism

Hey man, Im doing my disseration on the role of H2AX in ovarian cancer, and Im trying to use this programe to make some graphs. I sampled 100 cells, grouped into 16 groups each representing a tissue type (16 tissue types in the sample of 10 tissues), and then scored the expression of H2AX in each one. I am now trying to understand how I can show this

Maybe enter the data into 16 columns (each column contains data for a tissue type) in the data sheet so each violin plot will represent a different tissue type?

Unfortunately you need version 8 to be able to create Violin plots on Prism
