TINY MANGROVE CREEK IN FLORIDA = TOPWATER PERSONAL BEST! //
On this episode of Abenz Fishing I went out to put my brand new 6 inch Abenz Spook to the test. Florida is filled with TINY mangrove creeks that lead to freshwater sources and in these brackish water creeks, there are GIANT snook. Topwater fishing around them is a great way to target them.. When I left the house this morning I had NO IDEA what I was in store for. From being completed defeated with the lowest low to breaking a new topwater PB - Snook fishing in Florida DOES not get better!

Great channel, stud snook, amazing fight in those mangroves.. One thing though; as a guy who had one treble from an Atom popper stuck in the palm of my hand and the other in the mouth of a flopping teen size bluefish, it only takes a second for things to go sickeningly bad. These days I don't touch a fish until I've unhooked it. That being said, keep making these excellent videos!
@AbenzFishing
@AbenzFishing Ай бұрын
Dude, I appreciate the view and support! I totally agree about the trebles, normally I use a boga but after that sickening first loss I was willing to risk it lol - I think because I was careful and grabbed the leader instead of the fish the first time, that ended in a loss

People can say would've should've could've all they want bro. Killer content as always. You consistently catch the biggest snooks and jacks going around youtube. On a side note, its funny to hear you talk about the residential tarpon around the southwest side. Most people dont even realize you can pretty much catch 15 to 50lb tarpon all year around over here. I landed 7 last night biggest taped somewhere around 32 to 35lb from my kayak on a fly rod in a brackish canal in Cape Coral.

Fact. I cant even use something as light as 40 cause l already know lm getting frayed off. Even w just a slot fish. I mainly fish jigs & 80 is the lightest l ever go. Not even 60. But yes, its mandatory w heavy jigs cause u get alot of inside the mouth hooks & using heavy gear. But this deal where hes using topwater ld still use atleast 60. So yes, l agree
